Last time OP even entertained the possibility of leaving, he welched after a day. This is a sucker bet.
|
Maverick, is this bet still on the table?

What's your bullpen like? What bats/speed do you have off the bench? |

Amazing what you find when you google "Girl Drama".....

Mine showed little interest until we took her to a game. In the grand scheme of things, I don't really care, but it will be really cute if we get to look back at the birth of future obsessions. |

In Hootie's stead, I will step up and take this bet.
Hey Mav, you wanna talk to god? I've got nothing better to do, let's go see him together. |

The caveat at the end of the proposition was that hootie would eventually come back anyways. So I'd assume that caveat exists for Mav too.
So who the **** cares? THIS IS WHY YOU DATE LOTS OF PEOPLE. |

For the royals and the chiefs LOL He didnt dig the jersey much until they ran out on the field, then he realized what's up... He wouldn't take it off after that |

We lose Morse off the Bench because he will be DHing. Speed. We have next to none anywhere. Our speed guy off the Bench was Gregor Blanco, but with Morse being hurt, and Pagan having back surgery, he really is the only speed we have. Off the bench we have utility infielder Joaquin Arias who is a marginal player but I guess you could say he could pinch run if Panda was to get on late. As far as other notable bats. Catcher Andrew Susac, utility infielder Matt Duffy, are Bruces primary pinch hitters. Susac has a knack for being clutch. Matt Duffy has shown that pretty much his only skill is the basehit. No power off the bench to really talk about. The brought up their former first rounder Gary Brown who supposedly is fast, but struggled at stealing bases in the minors. He has made the NLDS, and NLCS rosters but hasn't played in either game. Not even as a defensive replacement. Our Bullpen is good. I would say great, but KC's bullpen is GREAT. As Hootie pointed out, a huge omission by me was forgetting Yesmero Petit. The guy has been probably the biggest contributor to the bullpen all season. He is able to start, he is able to go long. He pretty much saved the Giants in the 18 inning marathon against the Nationals. Javier Lopez is death to lefties. He is a pure situational guy only for lefties. Righties destroy him. Jeremy Affeldt- I think he is our best pitcher out of the bullpen. Able to get out both righties and lefties. Against lefties he has a devastating Curve ball that gets so big it really looks like its going to hit the batter. Im assuming that really in retrospect, that Royals fans might remember him. Sergio Romo- Former closer who has been battling injuries all year. He has been knicked up. He hasn't looked anything like the pitcher who froze Miguel Cabrera in the world series two years ago. His slider has been flat with no movement. He has tried to over compensate for that by throwing his fast ball harder sometimes reaching 91 miles an hour.. Santiago Casilla- This is our closer. He is my least favorite reliever. Why? Because he has so much talent. He has ridiculous stuff. His slider can be absolutely devastating. And his fast ball can hit as high as 97. But he is wild. Anyone watching the end of game 5 vs the cardinals understands what I mean. Jean Machi- He has devastating stuff. his split finger is his out pitch. He has great control usually. Hunter Strickland- He throws in the high 90's regularly hitting 100. The problem with him is it is as straight as a string, and if he gets behind in the count he wants to challenge. Hope this helps. |

Regrettable? Yes, obviously, but, I stand by my decision. I already know that the Royals will win, so I will accept my punishment as such. |

Count you are a liar and a welcher. I think bets and statements of leaving the board are stupid, but your complete denial of your past statements is just plain childish. |

All those delicious Gregg Williams slice techniques and nobody will be able to see them is not good for the board, IMO. |
I don't want anyone taking this bet...I want no jinxes or reverse jinxes. Mods, intervene. Close the thread and rule the bet invalid, please.
I don't need Clay giving the Royals bad mojo right now...he's a freaking Rangers fan. Get him out of here. |
Agreed. Clay IS Chiefs Planet as far as I'm concerned. I forbid this bet.
What am I going to do if he leaves? Post back-and-forth Star Trek gifs with ****ing Donger? No. **** no. |
Fortune and glory, Chiefsplanet. Fortune and glory.
|
I'm about ready to put Clay on ignore until the Series is over...
