Was he flawless? No.

But 440 yards of offense with 4 TDs? Come on dude. Anybody who puts this on Alex is a blatant troll.

He was literally the only reason we were in the game.

Um, no. The penalty is walked off from the point of the infraction. If he had just went into the fetal and took the sack, it would have been 3rd and 7.

No, no, this play concerns Alex Smith. That immediately puts all responsibility for the poor play onto someone else.

The offense became one dimensional with 2 talented running backs gone and one starting wide receiver. Smith still made throw after throw in the 2nd half.

I think the playcalling kinda sucked in the 2nd half as well. I got tired of the passes to the flats, but maybe Bowe got doubled and Jenkins and Hemmingway couldn't get open. We had no ****ing running game with Gray. I know that.

Score some points in the 2nd half. Great first half. Typical KC QB 2nd half.

After tonight there is no reason to doubt Alex. He was FANTASTIC all night. He lost his best player in the opening drive and scored 37 points after that without him.

He also lost a starting WR and then lost his 2nd RB.

This game is on the defense folks. You shouldn't be losing games when your offense scores 44 goddamn points.

JakeLV 01-04-2014 09:38 PM

Alex Smith was nothing short of phenomenal today.

The one major positive to come out of today's fiasco is Smith confirmed he can be the Chiefs answer at QB for the foreseeable future.

Paying 17 million for a quarterback isn't gonna kill the cap. He was already scheduled to make 11 million..just cut Dunta and Daniel and and give him their money.

Don't forget the jump Alex made between 2011 and 2012 in SF due to his ability to play at a higher level once he knows the playbook and system front and back.

If we can upgrade a couple skill position groups in the offseason, Alex is gonna have a big year in 2014.

The Defense sucked in the 2nd half. NOBODY is disputing that. The D also gave Alex some favorable field position for the first 33 minutes of the game.

I'm not an AS hater. The Defense was the primary reason for the loss, but Smith was one of the numerous reasons the team didn't win.

We lost most of our already weak offense and still put up 44 pts, keep spinning them tires hoss, you lose. We didn't win the game but you can't put it on the offense if you ever want to be taken seriously. Go to bed, and just blame it on the alcohol.

Nope. Smith just takes IG penalties on game winning drives, and fumbles the ball when his team is clearly losing momentum.

Of course, he's clearly absolved of all responsibility for the loss, because he's Alex Smith.

Let me paint this picture a little more basic clear for you. It's just a simple 2 yes or no questions.

1. Is Alex Smith the defensive coordinator?

2. Is Alex Smith a safety?

If both answers is a no, then there's the culprit of the loss.

I should also add in that he was playing without the best player (Charles) throughout the game, and he made enough plenty of plays to win this game.

The defense. Did. Not.

Argument over.
