honestly Im interested into which BS it turns, myself. lube up....it's the back nine! 4 perfect shots in a row...per Johnny Miller. |

Wow, that was a sweet shot by Tiger. Maybe he is starting to feel it.

Aaand Tiger takes the lead!!!

I have to admit, Tiger taking the lead sure brought a big smile to my face. |
flip flop

If Tiger wins today, and the Celtics close it out tonight, it will be a tremendous Father's day for me. Either way, I am going to have a lot of fun watching.
|
I like Tiger...dont get me wrong. He's like the rising sun...of course I dont sit outside and go 'whoo' 'whoo' 'whoo' when the bright ball crests the horizon. I know it's going to be there and I wake up shortly there after.
Maybe I just laugh at those that still bark at the big bright orb every day. |
lol...I love it...
the only other golf shown by NBC is th Els taking a triple. LOL... have they shown shot by Mediate since the first 4 holes? |
Did anyone see those as*holes on, I think it was 9, that kept standing up on the top row of the grandstand, waving their hats when Tiger was addressing the ball? They were right in his line of sight.

However, standing up and waving your hands in a blatant attempt to distract the player is just being an as*hole. |

After watching Westwood hit it left, I just knew Tiger was going to hit it left. Dammit.
|
I think that poor decision just cost Tiger the tournament. If he makes another bad choice like that, he has no chance. Where the hell was Steve Williams after Westwood hit it left?
|
C'mon Rock, kill that sonofabitch.

I get tired of people slobbing over the Ivan Drago of golf. Yeah he's the best, yeah he's a machine. It doesn't mean that he's the second coming, despite Earl Woods' psychotic machinations, it also doesn't mean that we should lionize his dad as some kind of great man just because he happened to hit the genetic lottery. How much of a difference is there between what Earl Woods did and any number of other stage fathers? Just because his kid was innately mentally tough and otherwordly talented doesn't mean that his teachings were anything to be duplicated or even admired. Yes Tiger is by far the best, he's also had some unbelievable breaks that have more than made up for any harm his knee has done. There really is no difference between a putt that dies in the middle of the hole from 70 feet and one that goes 17 inches past. It is imperceptibly small. Honestly, Tiger is on a Jamie Gold-like run so far, from his tee shot and putt on 13 yesterday, to the lie next to the cart path, to the chip-in on 17, to him hitting everything he looked at from 20+ feet on friday. Now that doesn't discount from the toughness that he's shown this week, but let's get real, this isn't MJ's flu game, and it isn't Jack Youngblood playing with a broken leg. Hell, no one ever made a big deal about any of the numerous tournaments that dozens of golfers played where they needed an hour plus of PT afterwards because their backs were shot. He's a superhuman golfer, but he's not the Messiah. It's a difference NBC and CBS have never seemed to be able to reconcile. |
I get nervous watching a pro tap in a two-footer, no wonder I can't make a putt to save my life.

On an unrelated topic, I bought a set of Ping I5's and an Odyssey White Hot XG #9 today at a local golf store in CoMo.
I'll be selling some of my spare sets of clubs. I have four, Ping I3's, Eye 2's, some Old Hogan blades, and a set of Cleveland VAS garden tools that Pavin used to win the Open. |

That bald guy behind Tiger when he hit that approach was fucking HAMMERED ROFL

Miller, so when this Tiger misses a fairway half the time this week, it doesn't equate to the real Tiger who misses a fairway 45% of the time?

What the hell is he talking about. If there was something big enough to alter the course of the ball I think Woods would have moved it in advance. I don't see where that ball was "moved" off course.
|
Miller, you are completely full of hogshit. That putt hit abso****inglutely nothing. Just because he's Tiger Woods doesn't mean you have to manufacture excuses for why he missed a putt.
|
Tiger missed that putt, not because he's human because it 'hit something'...
knobbers know what im talking about...the story is not Tiger but Rocco's chance to not f'it up. |
I never felt like that putt was going in at all.
|
Quote:
At least I like Rocco. I don't like Westwood (non-American bastard) Wow, Rocco just beating the hell out of the ball. |
That hurt.

Maybe the ocean forgot to pull it.

Rocco piss pounded that putt.
|
This hole is just long enough for Rocco to have a Tin Cup moment if he hits a perfect drive.

Rocco doesn't need to be thinking immortality. He needs to be thinking "hit the seven iron".

I don't think driving in the rough hurts Rocco, cause he was not going at it in 2 anyway.
|
Man, this is boring.

The volunteer that always screams "Get in the hole!!!" always cracks me up.

Mediate keeps the door open.
|
If Tiger can drain this birdie putt, he wins, IMO.
No way he doesn't birdie 18 if he needs it. |
He has to birdie 18 now.
|
Well, eagle for the win, or birdie for an 18 hole playoff tomorrow.
|
Quote:

Rocco...cans the birdie...feh..
That's bs, no one has ever beat tiger since he had a 54 hole lead. |
Quote:
He hasn't exactly been accurate off the tee today. |
Looks like a playoff at worst for Mediate now.
|
the knee, the pain...the win...the best us open win evar... because he's never done it before...wait...nevermind
|
Typical Tiger here. Bad shot off the tee on 18. This is where the amazing shots start up.
|
I'm sure it has already been said, but Tiger gave this one away to Rocco. Hitting out of bounds on what, 14 or 15, instead of taking the lay up and pitch to a green he wasn't going to hit anyway.
|
oops
|
a huge 'mistake' by tiger...wtf? can the USGA give him a free stroke? dosent anyone know that tiger DOES NOT LOSE AFTER 54 holes?
Mediate the oldest ever winner of the us open, f-that, we need tiger to win his eleventy billionth major |

Tiger making par here would be the coolest golf-related thing since Natalie Gulbis decided to get implants.

Here's a pressure cooker of a putt.

If so, would you sell it separately? |
Two putts for the tie.

I know tiger's going to make this putt and win by 11,000 stokes, but it's too funny that it has come down to this.
