I was watching Vinnie's batting stance, and it eerily resembles Melendez'. Way open in the stance, I don't remember it being that way.

A lot of emphasis was put on the outfield in the off season for obvious reasons. But lost in that wasn’t just getting a guy who is better than who we have, it’s that we also don’t know what salvy will provide at this age, or Massey or Vinny who don’t have multiple seasons of doing anything and a safe bat in the outfield could provide a floor. Unfortunately we could face a reality that if those guys don’t produce we could be in real trouble.
