He’s actually looked impressive the past 2 weeks since the Panthers went to Andy Dalton as their starter. The Chiefs were very interested in Johnson but the Steelers didn’t want anything to do to help the Chiefs so they traded him the Panthers in the off-season. He’s pretty cheap now if the Chiefs want to go that route. His salary is $7 million this year, so the Chiefs would have to pick up the remainder and work out a draft pick or player to send back.
