Not that option two is incorrect..,but on punts most players are lined up on the LOS opposite an opposing player. Don’t the the 30 yard head of steam before contact.

Yeah, and that probably has even more to do with it. Read that article (skimmed really) several years ago, so the details are kind of blurred at this point.

Quick question I cant find anywhere. What happens if the kickoff lands in the "landing zone" and then goes out of bounds? Is that still a penalty, I know that if it flies out its like it was previously and its a flag.

I have looked everywhere for this answer and can't find the rule.
