It costs nothing extra for the team. The player has practiced and been with the team. Also, the use of practice squad players for game day rosters changed what players are eligible on the field. It's not really a big deal, it just seems that it is an antiquated NFL rule. |

I feel like whenever there's a rule that doesn't make sense it inevitably ends up that owners are trying to save a couple bucks

The active player list is created just a short time before game. Anybody that is healthy and could possibly play, will be making team trips. When a team uses a PS player for a game, they have to give that player an additional game check so they would probably prefer playing players from their 53-man roster. I think the Chiefs do an excellent job of managing their game day roster so advantage Chiefs. I'll shut up! |
I guess this means all teams will carry 3 QB's this year.

I heard CJ Spiller is a hold out. No show at OTAs

Andy Dalton: chairs, light switches, kitchen counters, nothing seems too big for him |

Two important points for Emergency QB use -
1. Emergency QB, the first two must be physically unable to play. 2. Emergency QB must be on teams’ active rosters, not PS. See below for more detail - Quote:
