OK so apologies in advance for the possibly redundant or even ignorant question, but how does the NFL decide the TV schedule for next week’s games. Are the games thought to bring the highest ratings scheduled for Saturday or Sunday, night vs. afternoon? I assume the night games are the most prestigious slots.

Probably a mix of ratings and time zones... I doubt a west coast game would get the Noon CT slot on Sunday, for instance. After that, I'm sure the other 90% is ratings, which is why we got WFT in prime time last night.

However if they were to get dumped twice by the Browns it would be hilarious.

And much retribution for sleep walking through that half ass schedule and me having to hear how great they are. And a big **** you sendoff to Big Rape who would surely have to be done. And a hilarious go fist your mother to Ryan Shazier who has been on a couple Ringer podcasts I listen to and is straight up insufferable. So much so that I think he thinks he’s still on the team. Calls Pitt “we” and shit.

**** those pukes
**** those Puke fans
**** Tomlin
**** Rape
**** Pittsburg.

End.

YUP! LMAO

Shitty as Pittsburgh is, its almost impossible to imagine the Browns beating them twice in a row

Imagining it right now.

That freaked me out for a second. Was walking past the TV, and I thought the graphic said that Scott Van Pelt was going to be calling the defense for CLE today. SVP is a glorified golf announcer . . .

Have you read piss-boy's posts about . . . well, anything? I had a pet rock in 2nd grade that had more insight.

How many times do the Chiefs need to win against "bad matchups" before people realize they're not actually bad matchups...

Yeah, I have no idea what to thin of the Steelers or Browns... I think the Browns could shit their pants much like the first match up, yet the Steelers have of course had their issues.

I'm guessing it's a Texans/Bills level of shitfest, where we're left wondering how either team made the playoffs.... a good quality game would be a very pleasant surprise.

Titans/Ravens has some good potential... both teams have been here, plus of course our interest in who will likely be coming to Arrowhead.

Bearcat 01-10-2021 11:24 AM

Wait, so the Browns and Titans would "run all over the Chiefs to victory" (an already false narrative from the 90s), but Lamar Jackson would.... do what exactly?

The Titans D had good answers for Baltimore before.

1. Keep linebackers back deeper so you get better angles against Baltimore run game.

2. Pack the middle of the field with 5 to 6 defenders to eliminate where the Ravens like to pass the ball.

Let's see if Baltimore has counters..my gut feeling is they wont.

Yeah, Vrabel seems to have the template for beating Lamar, but the Ravens D should at least keep it interesting

The other thing about CLE is that it's their first playoff appearance in forever. And Baker's first playoffs. All that inexperience is going to lead to a lot of unforced errors, most likely. My hope is that they shake off the jitters early in the game, just so it's not a terrible game to watch, what with PIT probably looking like NYJ on offense with Flacco under center almost a given, but if CLE doesn't then it's not going to be pretty.

CasselGotPeedOn 01-10-2021 11:40 AM

I could see Pitt Cleveland ending up 17-10 or something similar. I think it's gonna be the ugly slugfest everyone thought LA Seattle was gonna be.
