I just wish my Bulls would make some noise. Ugh.

That team would kick OKC's soft ass.

but who guards westbrook?

I'm not going to lie, they'll win NO more w/ Nash, unless their chemistry is perfect.

Who knows for sure?

I WILL be curious to see Nash & the rest of them suit up and play together.

Yeah those picks don't mean shit.

Now you got Nash who works well with Gasol but if you get Howard you could move Gasol for some nice bench players and a shooter? Or do you keep what you have (which still isn't bad at all).

You get Howard, you keep Gasol. Gasol would be great with someone like Howard. The problem with Pau and Bynum is Bynum wants similar spots to Pau in the mid-range game. Howard's game would work very well with Pau's.

Nash does fill the deep shooter's role. He's one of the best shooting PGs I've ever seen.

Kobe would likely guard Westbrook since he wouldn't be carrying the offense.

"At this point in his career" averaged 12.5 points and 10.7 assists.

You're right. No big deal.

Nash is still one of the most efficient offensive guards in the NBA (53/39/89 in 2012) and also recorded the most assists in the league last season. This is a significant acquisition for the Lakers.

And really, I'm glad the Raptors weren't able to get him. Beyond making the rich corporate ownership more profitable, it wouldn't have accomplished anything more than a first round loss. With this, it's possible that Bryan Colangelo might even be fired (and that is a long time coming).

If they can get Karl Malone = championship.

KC_Connection 07-04-2012 09:25 PM

I'll be interested to see how Kobe handles playing off the ball. Will make him a lot more efficient if he lets Nash play his game.

Toadkiller 07-04-2012 09:38 PM

Reports are that Kobe called Nash and told him that he needed him and that he couldnt do it alone. Love that Kobe did this. Now Bynum and MWP for Dwight and a shitty contract and we will be good to go.

I think Goudlock can provide some. I think they are also bringing in Grant Hill and he has an OK outside game.

I applaud Mitch again. Turned a disgruntled Lamar Odom and 3 draft picks into Steve Nash.

Eh, Grant Hill has only made 216 three pointers in his entire 17 year career and shot them at 31%. If they want an outside shooter, Hill isn't the guy at all. Rashard Lewis on the other hand...his game has declined tremendously since the NBA Finals with Orlando, but he can probably still camp around the 3-point line and knock them in.

mcaj22 07-04-2012 10:04 PM

Shard Lewis is god awful.

Yeah it's funny, after the Finals they suspended him for using PEDs, or what the league considered PEDs. After that he wasn't the same. Odd isn't it? :shake:

It's a good move for the Lakers. They obviously want to get Kobe a solid shot to win before he's done. Age and injuries have to be a concern, but Nash will make Gasol and Bynum better. I don't think they necessarily have to move anyone now. They are right there with SA and OKC in the West. These big market teams are pulling out all the stops. It's going to be an interesting season in the NBA.
