Yeah. You realize he jsut ran up and threw a shoulder into a guy and didn't wrap up right?

If he wraps up and explodes up thru Mendenhall there he makes the tackle not giving up 4 or 5 more yards.

Explode through him? Are you ****ing stupid? There's 2 people behind him. He's not going to explode through shit.

What happens when a receiver gets sandwiched by 2 defenders at the same time? The receiver is still standing and the 2 defenders are on the ground.

He hit him hard enough to take him down but because DJ is right behind him pushing the other way he stayed on his feet.

I'm just stating that's how you properly tackle. If he bends at the knees and wraps up instead of laying a shoulder into him he probably gains 3 more yards instead of 7.

He probably isn't going to blow the guy up, but he should come up and wrap up and make a tackle. He probably has the three guys fall back onto him for sure. You are right there.

Hell if he wraps up maybe there is a fumble or somethign.

And it doesn't matter if there are people behind him. You explode thru tackles from the bottom up wrapping up.

I was referencing how to tackle there. I know he's not gonna blow up the rb in that case but he didn't properly hit or tackle the guy.

That's why the wr in your case is standing. Guys in the NFL want the big hit and don't wrap up sometimes.

McGraw just displayed crap technique. I understand the counter motion argument, but McGraw needed to plant and grab, hold on for dear life, not ry to smackdown.

I'm not a fan of McGraw at all. I think he's slow and unathletic.

But he's usually a technique tackler. Don't know what happened on that play.

Yes, certainly.

After Palko & Cassel, if Orton is even luke warm. The offense will treat him like a rock star. Tony G was gonzo for freaking Thigpen

Exactly, those 3 MIGHT have taken him to the ground just shy of or at least close to the first down marker. All McGraw does is help him to keep his balance long enough to gain a few extra yards...

He plays smart and he uses good technique which are the only reasons he's in the NFL. I haven't wanted him on the team for the last 5 years but I do recognize what he does well.

Most NFL defenders would do well to learn how to tackle properly. If you take someone low enough and hold on, it's very difficult to keep going regardless of any size or weight difference.

Look at our Defense in games with John Mcgraw vs. games without him this year and tell me if you still feel that way.

Being the floatiest turd in the toilet does not make you any less of a turd.

I'll take McGraw over Washington and Piscetelli anyday.
