I think the biggest question is who voted Florida #1 in the Harris Poll? Either way, Florida has no business being ahead of Texas. Texas has better wins and a better loss. Florida has some good wins, but they don't have a win against a top notch team. Texas has wins against Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma. No team in the country has as many great wins. If every team in the country winds up with 1 loss, the winner of the Big 12 South deserves a title shot against the winner of the SEC.

No team from the SEC should be in the title game with 2 losses, though. Last year was a travesty. That was basically a season without a national champion.

See you in 6.

ROFL

Yes. Living proof that a do-nothing, beat-nobody bunch of losers can still enjoy the occasional free ride.

Florida doesn't deserve a 1st place vote - yet. However, someone gave it to them last week in the Harris too so I guess that one person is staying consistent.

I'll give you OU, but Florida's beatdown of Georgia is better than Texas' wins over Mizzou and Ok State. If Florida continues to win out then they can make the argument that no team in the country has as many great wins (unless TT runs the table). Winning out would mean Florida beat Georgia, LSU, South Carolina, Florida State and Alabama which are all in the current BCS top-25.

Have fun never winning anything important with MU.

How can KU lose to MU and finish behind MU in the polls last year, yet their fans simultaneously claim that last season's success will carry them through 5 years of mediocrity and rip MU as being a fraud this season. Talk about trying to have it both ways, doesn't MU's season last year (which was superior to KU's season, hence the ranking) give MU a 5 year pass as well?

Meanwhile, MU is a top 12 team in the country and looks to be the class of the Big 12 North for the foreseeable future. Kansas is the same middle-of-the-road program that they have always been, and there's no reason to believe that anything better is in store.

You clowns certainly rendered the Orange Bowl unimportant, didn't you? Perhaps they'll just draw names out of a hat this year - God knows they couldn't do any worse you and the Chokies.

I've never said that KU was a better team than MU last year or this year.

KU traditionally isn't a strong football program. I'd simply be happy with a bowl every year.

They were ranked high, and had NC aspirations. They failed, they are the real frauds.

It all depends on your expectations for the program.

Getting to back to back bowls is an improvement on what KU was a few years ago. I'll take it.

I'll take solace in the fact you guys won't be there. Ever.

How does one win against a GA team that is ranked 10th (and barely escaped falling to around 20th by rallying to beat Kentucky) count as better than Texas's wins against the number 11 and 12 teams in the country? How can you possibly defend that position?

You didn't even address their loss. Is a loss at home to a crappy Mississippi team somehow better than a last second loss on the road to the number 2 team in the country?

Typical KU fan. It must be great to hold your rivals to standards that so greatly exceed your own standards.

No, it was MU fans that held their team to such high standards this year. Many of them expected a Big 12 title and a NC shot. They failed. Miserably.

I take solace in our win over you - not backing into a game we didn't deserve because we didn't play anybody (else).

But whatever makes your clit throb, Nancy. Enjoy.
