They have a talent depleted roster, and are not on any free agent's list of destinations..

Trading away draft picks for one player with as many holes as they have to fill would be irresponsible.

Indy isn't close to competing. It'd be stupid of them to trade for an OBJ.

Assuming whoever trades for him will want an extension in place 1st.

They'd end up having to let one of either Gordon or OBJ walk the following year, as both contracts come due, while already paying Landry.

I also believe that Xavier Williams will be a bigger addition than anyone else expects, and that he will help this defense climb a level, which will get them to good enough.

I’m curious as to why you’re so high on Williams in particular.
