RunKC 04-26-2025 04:01 PM

Rain Man 04-26-2025 04:03 PM

smithandrew051 04-26-2025 04:03 PM

A lot to like in this draft if Simmons works out

Dunerdr 04-26-2025 04:04 PM

ABC just skipped the pick entirely **** me. Almost went the whole draft without KC getting that treatment.

Couch-Potato 04-26-2025 04:04 PM

Pretty massive drop off after that. I just can't convince myself that Neal would matter a single bit. He's not going to do anything Pacheco can't. And less than a healthy Mitchell would.

So gimme Smith's explosion.

And a lot have come off so there are likely fewer teams still inclined to take one.

Think of it like taking a TE in fantasy football. You can take one of the top 3 in the first 5 rounds. Or take one from 4-8 in the next 4-5 rounds. Then you might as well just wait until the last round to grab another. Nobody else is taking one and there's not much of a difference either way.

Told y'all.

There was no reason to take a RB in the 5th.

And we got the only one left at that point that might actually matter.

Mecca 04-26-2025 04:05 PM

I'd like to think maybe Allen and Bond will be UDFAs and we can add them.

smithandrew051 04-26-2025 04:05 PM

Hit every need without a disgusting reach, right?

Potential LT.
2 guys who can get after it on the DL.
Versatile LB.
WR who feels Chiefy as some have said.
Another CB who can play right away.
RB with burst.

I just really hope Simmons works out.

This is why you don’t draft RBs early.

he is the future. We can get by while he completely heals.

I don’t see him starting right away. Push him and maybe he regress’s or reinjures himself.

This is the best day 3 Veach has had since 2022. What a ****ing day man.

Totally understand anyone still pissed about Simmons due to the injury.

But that pick aside, there's not a single ****ing thing to bitch about the whole rest of the way. There's something here for everyone. Veach was like ****in' Oprah, and we all got what we wanted underneath our ****ing chair before the show was over.

You don't hold off Manning and others at Texas by being dog shit.

Not really, all of us wanting a RB know there isn't anything special left at this point... but don't you Member when we had the NFL rushing champ Hunt in 2017 alongside Sammy and Reek?

Because I do, we were high flyin and death defyin WOO!

Running backs still matter and the entire NFL is starting to come back around to that idea... and we can do it all over again with Rice, Worthy, and another top back

RunKC 04-26-2025 04:14 PM

If Simmons is what we think he is, the Chiefs have no excuse for not getting this offense scoring big points again.

I cannot believe we got Jalen Royals and Brashard Smith today. I am so happy. Finally speed and playmaking ability is added to this offense again, especially at RB.

staylor26 04-26-2025 04:14 PM

Offensive speed got a lot better today Run

He’s been in college for like 25 years so maybe I am not remembering correctly, but it seems like at one time he was considered to be a first/second pick.

Veach’s most underrated ability as a drafter is having a good pulse on what other teams are doing.

He really seems to know not just WHOM to take, but WHEN.

I disagree. Go watch some Brashard Smith highlights. Tell me you don't see something special.

BryanBusby 04-26-2025 04:19 PM

This is a strong long term class.

Simmons, ideally, starts as the 6th lineman while he gets that knee trust back and learns the blocking concepts. Can replace Taylor next year and Moore in 2026.

DL picks should help coming into January IMO.

Williams I can see being an active contributor early.

Royals and Bassa will be mostly Toub guys today, starters Year 2.

Smith should make the RB competition spicy.

FloridaMan88 04-26-2025 04:20 PM

This was on social media earlier today… could have selected from multiple posts… and to get him in the SEVENTH round… steal.

Not remotely, I find it funny people like you act like you are NFL trainers or something.

I know 2 things with certainty. I don't know what Andy Reid knows about Simmons injury and I know more than you about exercise, diet, and training when it comes to the human body. Likely know more than you about recovery and injury as well.

And I only say that to point out, again, that I don't know what Reid and KC's staff knows about Simmons injury, and there is no way in hell you do either.

But hey go hit google for some info or something.

I mean they picked one of the three guys I BADLY wanted them to take at every pick except the 5th and that's my own doing - I just didn't look into that guy.

He took the TYPE of player I wanted even then.

Honestly I think I was about perfectly dialed into the chiefs outlook on the players in this draft.

I just wouldn't have taken that risk in the 1st.

smithandrew051 04-26-2025 04:25 PM

Looking ahead to UFA, I’d grab these guys for sure if they don’t get picked:

Logan Brown
Cobee Bryant
Hollin Pierce
Jared Ivey

Never said I was a trainer, dillweed. Just that the Chiefs are really cautious with players coming back so their history would lean he's not going to start Week 1.

If week to week man taking that route seems too farfetched for you, well ok then.

Gushing period blood because someone made a prediction over an event that's one big prediction is funny though.

So once again, sorry you are devastated about a prediction happening during a crapshoot event. Maybe get up, go for a walk and shake it off.

BossChief 04-26-2025 04:27 PM

The UDFA guys

Logan Brown
Jared Ivey
Luke Lachey
Joe Huber
Isaiah Bond
Hollin Pierce
Sebastian Castro
Xavier Restrepo

I'm not devastated or whatever nonsense you keep spouting to make yourself feel better. If Moore starts week 1 I couldn't care less.

Im just pointing out you are talking straight out your ass like usual.

Isaiah Bond is getting an expensive lesson this week about how character matters.

Luke Lachey makes sense. I figured we'd use a 7th on him and still might have.

But I'm betting we go for a TE as a UDFA and he's the most intriguing one.

Nazir Stackhouse. Big run-stuffer from UGA.

Makes a ton of sense as a UDFA.

Maybe Tafuna out of Utah?

I think they'll bring in a fat guy. It ain't ONL or Tillery that are gonna back up Pennel at the nose. They need a depth option there.

smithandrew051 04-26-2025 04:37 PM

Do you bring Bond in?

Or just stay away from that mess?

Don't think there's room on the roster for him at this point.

Agree 100%.No sure there’s room on our roster.

But I suppose JuJu and Brown are gone after this season so he could find playing time then.

2026: Rice, Worthy, Bond, Royals…I guess I’m talking myself into it lol
