I think it will finally be a RB but if it isnt CPs heads will collectively explode.
|
228 pick is in
|
Quote:
They just can't have TWO rookie RB's in this offense. |
brashard smith rb smu

Quote:
There you go! |
RB for sure
|
Nice!
|
I guess the Patriots now have the honor of drafting Mr Irrelevant

You would think it’s bpa from here but a trade up makes you think someone they like has fallen.
|
YESSSS BRASHARD SMITH
|
I love the Brashard Smith pick
|
Must have felt it was time after Martinez went
|
YES! My favorite back after Henderson!
|
**** YES!!!!
RB SMITH to KC!!!!!!!! |
Hell yeah great pick!

Is....is it over now?

MASTERCLASS DRAFT FOR BRETT VEACH AND HIS STAFF.
ROUND OF APPLAUSE FROM START TO FINISH |
did the trade up take our other 7th?
|

|
Well thank God for that! Great pick
|
It's over folks
|
I kind of wanted the excitement of having two more picks.
|
A lot to like in this draft if Simmons works out
|
ABC just skipped the pick entirely **** me. Almost went the whole draft without KC getting that treatment.
|
What a great ****ing draft!!! Simmon, Williams, and Smith were all “my guys”… LOVE IT!

There was no reason to take a RB in the 5th. And we got the only one left at that point that might actually matter. |
I'd like to think maybe Allen and Bond will be UDFAs and we can add them.
|
Hit every need without a disgusting reach, right?
Potential LT. 2 guys who can get after it on the DL. Versatile LB. WR who feels Chiefy as some have said. Another CB who can play right away. RB with burst. I just really hope Simmons works out. |

This is why you don’t draft RBs early.
|
Quote:
I don’t see him starting right away. Push him and maybe he regress’s or reinjures himself. |
This is the best day 3 Veach has had since 2022. What a ****ing day man.
|
Veach is dancing around the draft room singing 'Dick in a Box' right about now.
****ing masterclass. |
Quinn Ewers shouldn't be left alone tonight. He looks distraught.

Really excited about this being our last pick!! Can’t believe he was still there this late. Will be a great 3rd down back and elite returner as well!!! |
Totally understand anyone still pissed about Simmons due to the injury.
But that pick aside, there's not a single ****ing thing to bitch about the whole rest of the way. There's something here for everyone. Veach was like ****in' Oprah, and we all got what we wanted underneath our ****ing chair before the show was over. |
I get people hate Ewers but a lot of QB's far worse have been drafted.
You don't hold off Manning and others at Texas by being dog shit. I could see him getting a chance to make a lot of $$$ holding clipboards. |

Really could’ve made an argument to draft Royals, Bassa, and Smith a round or two earlier each without sounding crazy at all.

Because I do, we were high flyin and death defyin WOO! Running backs still matter and the entire NFL is starting to come back around to that idea... and we can do it all over again with Rice, Worthy, and another top back |
If Simmons is what we think he is, the Chiefs have no excuse for not getting this offense scoring big points again.
I cannot believe we got Jalen Royals and Brashard Smith today. I am so happy. Finally speed and playmaking ability is added to this offense again, especially at RB. |
Offensive speed got a lot better today Run

He's better than Merz for example who got drafted ahead of him. |

He really seems to know not just WHOM to take, but WHEN. |

This is a strong long term class.
Simmons, ideally, starts as the 6th lineman while he gets that knee trust back and learns the blocking concepts. Can replace Taylor next year and Moore in 2026. DL picks should help coming into January IMO. Williams I can see being an active contributor early. Royals and Bassa will be mostly Toub guys today, starters Year 2. Smith should make the RB competition spicy. |
This was on social media earlier today… could have selected from multiple posts… and to get him in the SEVENTH round… steal.

Please, somebody who is capable of updating and formatting OP's properly.... start the UDFA thread once this wraps up. Thank you in advance!

I know 2 things with certainty. I don't know what Andy Reid knows about Simmons injury and I know more than you about exercise, diet, and training when it comes to the human body. Likely know more than you about recovery and injury as well. And I only say that to point out, again, that I don't know what Reid and KC's staff knows about Simmons injury, and there is no way in hell you do either. But hey go hit google for some info or something. Edit: Forgot something else I am certain of, you are gay. NTTIAWWT |

He took the TYPE of player I wanted even then. Honestly I think I was about perfectly dialed into the chiefs outlook on the players in this draft. I just wouldn't have taken that risk in the 1st. |
Looking ahead to UFA, I’d grab these guys for sure if they don’t get picked:
Logan Brown Cobee Bryant Hollin Pierce Jared Ivey |
Quote:
If week to week man taking that route seems too farfetched for you, well ok then. Gushing period blood because someone made a prediction over an event that's one big prediction is funny though. So once again, sorry you are devastated about a prediction happening during a crapshoot event. Maybe get up, go for a walk and shake it off. |
The UDFA guys
Logan Brown Jared Ivey Luke Lachey Joe Huber Isaiah Bond Hollin Pierce Sebastian Castro Xavier Restrepo |
Quote:
Im just pointing out you are talking straight out your ass like usual. |
Isaiah Bond is getting an expensive lesson this week about how character matters.
|
Odds of a 4th straight trip to the big dance just increased we're gonna have to stick together folks noones gonna have any friends outside of here.
|
I hope we nab the two kids from KU as UDFAs… CB Kobe Bryant and OT Logan Brown!!!
|
Quote:
|
Isaiah Bond, oh man.
WHY is Jared Ivey falling so far? |
Quote:
But I'm betting we go for a TE as a UDFA and he's the most intriguing one. |
Quote:
Makes a ton of sense as a UDFA. Maybe Tafuna out of Utah? I think they'll bring in a fat guy. It ain't ONL or Tillery that are gonna back up Pennel at the nose. They need a depth option there. |
Do you bring Bond in?
Or just stay away from that mess? |

Don't think there's room on the roster for him at this point. |
Quote:
If he is just immature, he should be the first call on UDFA. |
Quote:
But I suppose JuJu and Brown are gone after this season so he could find playing time then. 2026: Rice, Worthy, Bond, Royals…I guess I’m talking myself into it lol |
