Remember that "we the people" petition headed by Anheuser Busch to make opening day a national holiday? It did get the 100,000 signatures needed to mandate a response, and not surprisingly, its a no, but the Kansas City Royals were prominently mentioned in the official white house response.

I forgot the Tigers "got" Joba Chamberlein.
My hate can exponentially grow with that move. He's a Grade A douche. |

I'm just trying to fill my head with any Kansas City sports talk I can find. Not much of it where I come from.
Also CP brings some exclusive entertainment value that you won't find elsewhere on the internet. |

The signature and avatar have been updated! I don't expect them to fall off a cliff this season so I suspect I will keep the next five games all season. Hopefully I can add a countdown to clinching the division.

OK, back to thread:
Tomorrow is going to be tough sledding because Verlander has been ****ing locked in this ST. I know that vets typically give two shits about getting hitters out before the season starts and are working on pitches, and this makes his ST performance all the more scary. Pitching is usually well ahead of hitting at the start, and the Royals will either need to be hot from the jump or have Shields go big-game in game one. |

Going to be 55 in Detroit tomorrow, so that helps.

Didn't the Royals start on the road last year?
