Wait…. I thought the Ravens were gonna beat KC?? What happened? Everything we told you went exactly like we tried to tell yuh. Now all of a sudden, a much weaker SF team, with an inexperienced quarterback, and a defense that doesn’t match up well with KC at all? It’s gonna be a slaughter! KC gonna wax dat ass!

Good point from Chris Long

Chiefs have strength at LB which kinda seems to be somewhat of a kryptonite to the Shanahan offense. Hopefully Gay can go and it’s full tilt.

Mahomes gonna make Purdy look like a cry baby who wet his dippers.

Kansas City gonna win by more than a touch down in this one.

With Mahomes winning another Superbowl MVP

Ravens are frontrunners. Terrible record for 10+ years with John Harbaugh when they get down by double digits. The Niners have showed impressive comeback ability in the 2 Playoff games this season. They have better weapons than the Ravens too.

I think this Super Bowl will be much higher scoring than the AFC title game. Could be more like the Buffalo & KC game, maybe even higher scoring than that. A lot depends on how much clock each team attempts to run. Buffalo used the run game and short passes to keep the Chiefs offense on the sidelines as much as possible, which helped limit the points on the scoreboard for both teams.

Also… this is the fourth time head coaches have rematched in the SB.

In the previous three rematches, the team that won round one also won round two.

And neither of those coaches had a Mahomes or a Spags.

I actually think Purdy is impressive at how he's maximized the tools he has, but the physical limitations are real and they will compromise him against smart defenses.

How would you compare Brock Purdy's physical limitations with Joe Montana's physical limitations?

Did Joe's rocket arm and bionic legs get him four Lombardis? Or could it have been something else.

Purdy is no Mahomes. But then no one is.

You going up against Mahomes, the greatest gunslinger of all time.

Your boy Purdy is going to be made to feel like he is wearing dippers again.

Who ever said Brock is Mahomes? Obviously he's not.

Or Alex Smith. (Niners passed on Aaron Rodgers. What a brilliant move that was.)

Also, comparing QBs - Purdy played bad in both recent playoff games, then played well enough to score late. Mahomes, on the other hand, always plays great, then plays extraordinary as the game goes on and the stakes become higher

I hope Purdy is ready to handle Spags defense. Its not gonna be easy.

Consistent Top 2 or 3 defense helped. That's in the era of dominant defenses with teams like the Giants, Bears, and Redskins. That Niners defense shutdown Dan Marino in the GOAT season of any quarterback. And no salary cap to blow up the team. Montana was a great QB, great leader, and clutch as hell. He got plenty of help and was fortunate to play in the non-salary cap era.

The Niners defence held Marino to 16 points and Elway to 10 in two Superbowls.

Any quarterback could have won those two Superbowls

Montana threw three interceptions in "The Catch" game v Dallas.

If he doesn't make the play to Clark in the 1981 Dallas NFC game, everyone calls him a choker who can't play under pressure, and he gets run out of town and Bill Walsh finds another quarterback.

Sport is a fine line.
