We now lead the AL in ERA. Wow. We are the only team in the top five not above .500. They are all actually well above as well.

Just shows how awful our offense has been.

I think we all expected the pitching to be good with the additions of Santana and Shields, but we also expected the offense to improve. Moose and Escobar got worse instead of better. Frenchy got worse(How is this even possible?) Hos has been better, but has the power of Ben Revere. Butler not showing power from last year. The offense sucks balls.

Sweaty balls.

Butler looks like a guy who should be hitting 30+ dingers a year. I don't understand why he can't get more power out of that frame?

His arteries are plastered with zebra cake filling. Really takes a couple of mph out of your bat speed.

Have you seen him? Billy is literally the Pillsburgy Doughboy. If he'd hit the weight room a little more often and exchange some of that blubber for muscle, he'd have more than warning track power.

I hate having a closer that can get strikeouts.

Is our pitching staff top 3 in the league?

You're going to have to consult ChiefsandOsfan.

I'd say both our offense and defense can't keep up their horrible/awesome pace.

If you subtract the pile of suck that is Wade Davis?

Yes, probably so.

Side note: If Davis can get back to being just the pitcher he was in his first go-round as a starter - which was completely league average - this team would be in great shape.

Honestly, once Duffy or Paulino are healthy, I wouldn't mind seeing Davis given a token 15-day DL stint to see if some consistent time off can get him "right."

So far it is. Our rotation leads the league in IP too. I'd think about putting Chen back in for Davis but other than that all is good
