I really could MAAAAAAYBE see a trade up to 24 for a WR ahead of the Packers and Ravens.

The board would have to start looking rough. I don't think Veach is married to taking a WR. But if Nolen and Harmon are off the board, I could see him maybe getting antsy.

I don't think he's going to move up for Conerly.

I refuse to even consider the possibility of the Chiefs taking Simmons.

So i think if it's a trade up, it's for DT or WR.

I'd rather take Jaxson Dart.

At least we could play Jaxson Dart in the pre-season and in week 18 next season then maybe get him traded for a 2nd next offseason.

Simmons won't be worth a 3rd day pick by next spring...

I have edited their stupid song, Die Eagles Die.

Mykel Williams

CupidStunt 04-24-2025 03:29 PM

I called Mykel when I thought he'd be there. Seems that isn't happening so I'll change my pick to Nic Scourton.

2nd youngest player in class. Doesn't turn 21 for a while. A&M really holds back its DL. Lot of upside there.

Yeah, I just don't get why folks look at our OL with 5 starters in place for 2025 and say OL is a huge need.

Then look at our pass catchers and say WR is a luxury item.

They both look VERY similar to me.

So take the guy with two knees and more talent...

Basically where I am at, if your confident in Moore and he was not a hasty desperation signing it really is not a position we need, the pick absent injury is not seeing the field. Now next year and year after yes. But can say the same if Kelce retires, Hollywood is hurt... while any wr will see some snaps.

Any DL pick will earn a ton of snaps.

This is how I will feel on the inside. For sure.

If they do it, I will hope he's the unicorn and it all works out, because otherwise it's a disaster for the Chiefs.

What does this roster look like in two years if they burn a 1st and a 3rd and maybe more to acquire a guy who completely busts out?

It won't short-circuit or detail anything, but it will make it harder to field a true SB contender. You would need some really good luck in other places for it to NOT hurt.

Right.

The only way an OL sees the field a great deal this year for KC is injury. They could play next year by design.

Well Egbuka or Burden are going to contribute MORE to the healthy version of this team than an OL would this year. And would very likely ALSO be needed to contribute in a big way next year by design.

There's just not a viable 'need' distinction to be made here, IMO.

Yet many people are and it's talking them into taking a guy who's doing one-legged squats on draft day who's also touting the hyper-aggressive nature of the ligament replacement surgery he had to have as though it's a GOOD thing.

I really don't get it.

There is one thing I can guarantee you about Josh Simmons...he isn't playing a down in the NFL next season. So even if there are injuries, they aren't turning to Simmons next year. It's that bad and weird of an injury.

yeah. We don't NEED to do anything. We can go any of a dozen different directions and help the team now, and the future. It's a great place to be, if you have to pick #31.

Semichief 04-24-2025 05:09 PM

It seems Burden is wildly popular here (no surprise). The argument seems to be that adding him would “unlock” the offense. Not sure I buy that a WR4 in Year 1 accomplishes that more than an RB1. Not advocating for it at all (I want a DT or DE), but someone like Hampton would be more impactful the next couple of years.

Pitt Gorilla 04-24-2025 05:13 PM

I hope Sanders (or whomever) is available at our pick and somebody wants to move up for that extra year of control, if nothing else. Get more value picks and kill this thing.

Well people have explained it thoroughly so good luck figuring it out.

I assume you feel that Burden's popularity is "no surprise" because he went to Mizzou and I'm here to tell you some of us love him in spite of that
