Trading into the top 5 would require both 1st round picks as well as pick 62 (or an equivalent combination of 3rds and 4ths).

We'd be trading away more to get a rookie than what we received from Miami for Tyreek Hill.

Trading for the Giants second #1 pick at 7 would seem like a good spot. Gets you ahead of the Falcons and Jets.

With so many good WR's coming out lately I don't think giving up a bunch of picks for one is necessary. There's a decent chance KC can get a good WR in the 20's, and if not, there will probably be a handful of first round worthy WR's next year.

my personal favorite are the people who keep mocking LB and IOL to the Chiefs in the first few rounds with comments like "The Chiefs need to invest at LB/IOL." Walter Football guys all keep doing it. It's hilariously frustrating.

Exactly. And that was a QB. Imagine trading up more for a WR than we did for a qb1.

This seems totally unnecessary.

If Veach goes out and acquires Metcalf and McLaurin and THEN trades up for Wilson, I might say we're overcompensating just a bit for the loss of Tyreek Hill.

But King will be happy because then we can fill all of our other glaring holes with the best UDFAs money can buy.
