For a team that hits worse than a 4th grade T ball team-we take a short skinny pitcher that has shoulder problems?? LMAO

I think the Royals are clueless when it comes to drafting. You pick a hopeful #2 starter (if his shoulder doesn't need surgery) with your #1 pick. ROFL

I haven't read much about the Draft, but it sounds like a light offensive draft.

Gammons said the kid's shoulder is OK, and he looked really good in his last start at TCU. Pitching....pitching.....pitching. Gotta have it.

Tommy John is a surgery on your shoulder?

So what do we know about this Finegan kid except his dad is likely a drunk?

It's a bit of a gamble because of his size, but the shoulder has come back clean of late and has not affected his stuff or his velocity.

Good fastball from the left side that sits 92-93 and can get into the 96-97 range, good slider, changeup that needs some work.

Probably keeps them a little below the slot value at No. 17 and lets KC play with its money pool with No. 28 and No. 40.

It's actually a very similar profile to Scott Kazmir. He's a big-time strikeout guy who led the NCAA in K/9.

No shit! After this year, just to keep the fans a LITTLE happy, you'd think they'd take a power hitter. What's worse, they might have just invested in a jalopy as an alternative!

Sure-Oz 06-05-2014 07:21 PM

So this dude is gonna replace Collins in the pen

gblowfish 06-05-2014 07:23 PM

Hey, we've got plenty of other picks to draft damaged pitchers. They'll draft guys with arm trouble so they can sign them cheaper. You watch.

So when Danny Duffy flames out, we'll have this guy to be the next Danny Duffy.
