Sadly I think the line will just be "you guys can't compete in the SEC." And that will circle forever.
It's like the beginning of the Hitchiker's guide film, where it is explained that dolphins decide to leave earth because the earth is doomed. They try to warn everyone but humanity won't listen. That is why earlier I said Missouri can only say to KU/KSU, so long and thanks for all the fish. It was fun, but the writing is on the wall.
Texas and OU have been scheming their way out for years, and they were very nearly gone just recently. When they get the last few points of contention ironed out, they will hop the fence to that greener pasture. For the life of me I can't believe that anyone would trust them when they were just attempting a jailbreak. They won't understand until they come home to an empty house one day that Texas really didn't love them. |
