And if Darnold has “arm talent” what does Love have?

jerryaldini 12-29-2024 06:13 PM

Get out of bounds!

KC_Connection 12-29-2024 06:13 PM

Huge mistake not to go out of bounds, moron

KC_Connection 12-29-2024 06:13 PM

You can’t run the ball there LMAO

JC, stop trying to change the subject. Love has all the advantages here. He has a top-10 team, a top-10 HC/OC, he's had 4 years in the system with said coaches, system and teammates. He may have more potential, but in reality, he's just not as good as Darnold in 2024, by nearly every metric imaginable.

jerryaldini 12-29-2024 06:13 PM

Great drive! There's time!

smithandrew051 12-29-2024 06:14 PM

Why run the ball? You have to score or stop the clock only.

It appears to have zero impact on their potential seeding. No matter what they have to beat the Vikings next week.

Lions win the division with a win next week regardless. Assuming Minnesota hangs on (getting tight!), they lose the Division if they lose - tomorrow's game has.no impact unless Minnesota loses somehow today.

It will be a 2 way tie - cant be 3 way tie.

The Lions would win tiebreaker over Eagles with better conference record. So... you're correct, tomorrow's game doesn't matter, UNLESS Vikings blow today's game.

He’s better by QBR and he’s better by the eye test

Blow that stupid horn now, Vikings stadium guy.

Bearcat 12-29-2024 06:15 PM

It is amusing the argument is going on while the QB with 110 yards passing all of 10 minutes ago drives his team down for a couple of touchdowns, heh.

Coaches are bad at their jobs

Well, if anyone actually read the numbers...

PAA (points contributed)
Love - 21.4
Darnold 21.7

Plays with a non-zero contribution (anything that's not just handing it off)
Love - 451
Darnold - 605

EPA
Love - 51.9
Darnold - 70.3

Pass (epa with an emphasis on bigger plays)
Love - 41.7
Darnold - 58

Run (clutch-weighted runs)
Love - 3.7
Darnold - 5.9

Sack (Darnold's been sacked 45 times, Love 11)
Love - -5
Darnold - -18.7

Yep. I was going to point out that those numbers show Darnold to be a better passer.

It's a dumb stat because it gives too much weight to running QBs and sacks.

Burrow blows everyone out of the water on the passing metrics but gets hugely dinged in the sack which brings his total score down significantly.
