He didn't name any players. Albert, Flowers, and Carr were in parentheses, indicating the names were added by the author of the article.

Edit: Thanks, KcMizzou

Have the Chiefs even indicated any interest in Parcells?

He's not available.

I don't think there's been any inconsistency here.

There is a large group of people who have been clamoring for Pioli.

But there's a minority of people who would like to see Clark Hunt look in a different direction.

ChiefsCountry, Warpath and I, for instance, have talked about Eric DeCosta since Carl "resigned" (though I believe Warpath joined us a litte after).

I'm not going to whine and cry if it's Pioli.

He just isn't my first choice.

I was referring to the ones who want Pioli but ONLY without whoever this other guy is.

Why all the Parcells speculation?

KChiefs1 01-04-2009 08:04 PM

I have it from insiders of the Iowa football program that Ferentz isn't going anywhere because he loves Iowa City & the fanatic following they have in addition I believe his kid is on the football team.

From what I understand, He had a clause in his contract that he could void it if the team was sold. The latest rumor seems to be that he'll be back for 2009. (There's a thread about it floating around here somewhere.)

It was a small chance anyway, but when a name like that even has a chance to be available... it gets people talking.

Browns will interview Ravens executive Kokinis for GM position

Browns owner Randy Lerner will interview Baltimore director of pro personnel George Kokinis for the club's general manager position, a meeting that could clear the way for Cleveland to hire fired New York Jets coach Eric Mangini.

After seeing the bright lights, I'll bet he is ecstatic at being near to Wichita.

Fair enough. Thanks, and thanks for catching my error.
