He did, he underwent UCL reconstruction over a year ago. He just got promoted to AAA and will probably spend a month or so there. Ventura starts for the Stormchasers tonight though(!).

Not gonna happen. It's gonna be a log jam. Someone is getting traded and it won't be Davis. They'll probably hold Ventura down until: A. We're out of the race completely or B. If we drag ourselves back into it, he'll be brought up for the pen. Duffy on the other hand, if his volocity keeps up in Omaha, I could see them sending Davis down (I think he still has an option left)

Update from last night: Ventura's line 5.0IP 87 pitches 1H 4BB 6K 1ER 0HR. Not bad, except for the walks.

He's missing bats at a great rate. 80ks in 62 2/3, IIRC.

Walks overall haven't been a problem (24 in 62 2/3 is basically an average rate), but are the main thing to watch at the new level.

It would be nice to see him get the walks down under 3/9 IP at Omaha.

Well the Indians/Tigers square off this weekend, we have an opportunity to move on up if we keep playing well especially with the Astros in town.
