3 current pitchers were drafted #1 overall.

Hochevar
Price
Strasbourg

Yes, we got the only pumpkin. Like always.

Escobar is a total pumpkin with identical stats to Berroa and Neifi.

And people STILL think we won the Greinke deal? LMFAO

It's not like Greinke is having a great season either. Especially for the kind of money he's getting.

penbrook 06-06-2013 01:16 PM

Just think were only 6.5 games out of first.

Yeah.
But if we keep scoring less than 4 runs per game, we might as well be 65 games out of first.

Our starters should sue the position players for non-support.

What's amazing is that you traded 51 starts of Greinke for Cain and Escobar, who have given you a combined 1.8 WAR this year. Meanwhile, the Brewers traded 13 starts of Greinke for Jean Segura, who has given the Brewers 2.7 WAR.

Even more amazing is that you're telling me this. Here I am, diligently trying to kill myself, and you're yelling, "Faster! Faster!"

You're not exactly breaking any new info here.

As Hamas alluded to, that's not the issue. What he's doing for LA matters not, it's what Milwaukee did with him vs. what we could've.

I have no idea.

Hopefully one of the top high school hitters. The good college pitchers will be gone, and high school pitching is risky as hell.

The Royals have gotten 4.7 fWAR/6.1 bWAR from Escobar from 2011-current and 2.9 fWAR/2.7 bWAR from Cain.

They're on pace to have totalled 5.9 fWAR/5.9 bWAR and 5.3 fWAR/3.8 bWAR by the end of the year.

It will be interesting to see how they track against Segura long-term. I'm not sure I buy him hitting this well long-term, but he might be one of those guys that just takes a big step up in the big leagues (or he might have borrowed some "Iron" pills from his buddy Ryan Braun).

If the Brewers saw that coming, kudos to them. I don't think anybody else did.

Well, no. Looking at fWAR, Escobar has been a hell of a lot better than either of them, and he's on pace to record at least 1.5 WAR this season.

I'd guess both are gone at the Royals pick. Gray, Appel, Bryant off in 1-3 in some order. Moran, Stewart, Meadows and Frazier off 4-7 in some order.

Trey Ball
Phil Bickford
Ryne Stanek
Shipley
Domonic Smith
The kid from Oral Roberts

Probably the types of names available at No. 8

Just put the moron on ignore. Makes this thread much more bearable.

Can someone tell me what it going on with Duffy? Is he injured or what I fully expected him to be a part of this team this year, a 4 or 5 pitcher anyway.

Why don't you explain to me - again - how Moose didn't need to be sent down last month. I need a good laugh.
