One is a cut and one will probably require an extension. They're not the same situatoin.

What would be the max you’d want to give in trade for DK?

The max?

If I have a gun to my head? I'd give them #50 and a 3rd rounder next year.

How about 30 and a 4th next year?

I'd rather hold on to that 5th year option rookie but I could probably be talked into it.

I'm not paying him more than $22 million a season though. He can **** off if he wants top 3 money.

I have no problem paying a top 3 WR top 3 money.

Chiefs need a real legit threat on the perimeter. I'd give up #29 or 30 and some day 2 picks next year.

You're going to give up all of that and then pay Metcalf $27+ million a season?

Saints signed Taco Charlton, per source

ThyKingdomCome15 04-04-2022 05:03 PM

I'm seeing so many articles that include the Chiefs trading both their first round picks for Jameson Williams. What would help the Chiefs even more is staying home at 29 and 30, then drafting Pickett and Dotson. Both those guys on the field would be worth more than Williams. We'd have the deepest WR core in the league, a 180 from last year when we had 1 non-JAG WR.

I'm not really convinced MVS is anything more than a one trick pony anyway. It's a very good trick though. Mike Wallace comes to mind. His price tag got ran up a bit by NO but speed combined with Mahomes Magic is straight up lethal.

Hell no. That much money to a WR is stupid and chokes the team.

Whichever team is serious about trading for him will 10000% contact him and his agent to get a deal done. He kinda has a no trade clause right now without having a no trade clause.

ToxSocks 04-04-2022 05:15 PM

And just so we're clear here, btw, because i've been hard stancing the DK thing....

Trading for DK is NOT my #1 desire. I'd much rather draft a guy in the 1st.

I just happen to think it's what the Chiefs would prefer.

If Tyreek is making 23 mil a season, why would Metcalf make $27?
