Their LBs & pass rush is still meh, but they still have the draft and their DL & secondary are elite so it might not even matter. Their D is gunna be really good.

Gurley is still gunna be tough to stop, but this is a big year for Goff. McVay and that system made him look better than he really was last year. He was solid and improved from his rookie year which was good, but can he take that next step in his 3rd year and 2nd year in the system? He lost Watkins, who I think opened up alot of things for Kupp & Woods to shine...We'll see.

They're definitely going for it in 2018. NFC is loaded.

Super talented for sure but Talib and Suh can be downright dirty players and Peters and to a lesser extent Donald in the past have shown a lack of being able to keep their composure on the field.

Seth Keysor said whilst studying Watkin's tape last season, Goff blew a number of opportunities when Watkins was wide open. He also stated that Mcvay doesn't fully trust Goff and builds his entire system around making things easy for him.

As for the draft, well they don't have a second or fourth do they? So perhaps only one pick In the top one hundred unless they trade for more picks??? I also wonder who will replace Watkins in that offense? Suh and Donald is all good, but they still have holes In that team for sure.

When looking at the big picture, they clearly came to the conclusion that keeping Watkins (on a bigger deal that we offered him) and then being able to add sufficient quality to the roster on top of the Peters/Talib deals would have been tough.
