It really doesn't matter much, because you're basically trying to hide too many bad bats in the lineup. You can do that with one, maybe two, but 5-6 is too many.

Having said that, Hos at 2 and Esky at 9 makes sense -- finally.

How about flipping Moose and Lough?

But like I said ... too many dead spots to really make a difference.

KK was railing on Glass with Jack Harry this afternoon. Saying the guy who owns Sporting should buy the Royals.

True, Glass has been total suck as an owner. But I trust KK as far as I can throw his Lasik altered, wife leaving ass.

I'll bet he'd love to stir up the shit, have Sporting buy the Royals so he could get the radio rights away from Entercom. And every time you hear him talk to anybody in authority, whether that's David or Dan Glass, or Clark Hunt, he turns into a softball lobbing kiss ass.

What a douche.

Hahaha. What a loser.

At this point it doesn't matter. Draw the lineup out of a hat. Hosmer looked totally lost at the plate last night. He and Moose both need to spend from now till the All Star Break in either NW Arkansas or Omaha. I'd send them both to Springdale and make them earn their way up to Omaha. This season is toast, so it really doesn't matter. Play Billay at first, Tejada at third for the next six or seven weeks. Who cares?

Butler won't be seeing any good pitches with Mouse hitting behind him. I don't understand why you dont put your good hitters together and HOPE they do something. The rest of the line up are pop ups, strike outs and maybe an ocassional easy fly to the out field.

Gordon was dominating at #3 why not leave him there??

I threw this question at Rany on twitter: If the Rangers offered you Profar for Shields and Mondesi would you do it? and if the answer is no what about Santana and Mondesi?

Shields I would be on the fence, the Santana deal in a heart beat.

That is where I am as well. I would pull the trigger on the Shields deal if I new the owner was willing to go get another pitcher next year in FA. It would have to be FA since there wouldn't be much in the farm system.

Then your rotation could look like:

FA
Guthrie
Ventura
Duffy/Paulino/Davis/Dozer

Why in the world would Texas trade the #1 prospect in all of MLB (and who's playing fine in his first year of MLB at a premium position) for 1/2 season of Gopher-Ball Santana and an A ball project?

We were 17-10 before Gordon moved to third in the lineup. Just saying.

Doubt they would, the Shields trade isn't that unrealistic though. I would say Mondesi is a little more than an A ball project.

Texas has the best rotation in the AL, and they currently lead the league in ERA as it is. Not sure why they'd deal for Shields.

Read a yahoo article which made me wonder what I would do if they offered. I apologize for not meeting your discussion criteria. I'll make sure to do better next time.
