It's simple... act like you're playing a video game, and all that matters is that you're the one with the f***ing controller. Don't think about other teams' or conferences' needs or desires or travel or any of that bullshit, just take a group of 16 random teams within 2 timezone of each other and name it something. You could start with an existing conference, like the Big East, or you could be more adventurous and select a few from many different conferences.
