Well, let’s point out that OP said “possible” and “junior.” Which isn’t a clear indictment.

But let’s remember that at ~28 years old Hill probably has as many or even more career red flags than AB did at that age.

I think it’s a reach comparison, but I also don’t entirely trust Hill’s judgment and am glad we have no exposure to his stupidity and behavior anymore.

I guess it didn’t affect the fishing trip since the love tap on the back of the head happened before the boat left the dock. Seems that some of Tyreek’s group tried to board the boat before they were given permission and that led to what ended up happening. It would have been pretty funny if Tyreek had dropped this fish and the first mate had made some kinda of wise crack like “you dropping that fish reminded me of all the passes you dropped from Mahomes”, that led to the first mate getting the head slap.

Not to be BRC but I'll be BRC- Several yesrs ago I was bartending at a hotel bar and these coaches from a successful JUCO program sit at my bar. They were in town for some coaching convention. Anyway after a few drinks we start talking I find out what school they coach at and I bring up a kid they coached who had just committed to Nebraska. They tell me he's going to be the next Luke Kuechly (lol) they rave about how hes one of the best players they've ever seen. So i ask who's the best JUCO player they've ever seen. They said Tyreek Hill but one coach said he also had a ton of red flags. I thought he was alluding to the OSU incident. Its sad to say but even with just that incident was that really enough to drop him to the 6th round? Seems like theres guys who've done more that got drafted higher. The Chiefs locker room seems like a real close family and it didn't really seem like anyone was upset when he got traded.

I truly wish I could find the clip - but nothing, and I mean nothing, tops that video of Tyreek chasing down and tackling that 10 year old kid who was playing with NFL players on a make a wish type deal. It was one of the most surreal things I have ever watched and the kids parents were really upset about it.

I'll be that they can come to some sort of 'agreement' on this.

Cha-Ching! $$$

I'm glad he is gone; he was fun to watch however I'm glad he's someone else's problem.

Holy ****. REP!

For context, this video came to light after a man who claimed to be this kid’s Dad tweeted out that Tyreek tackled his son at a charity event. After getting called out as a liar the guy posted the video. The tweets got taken down soon after (and scrubbed from a lot of places), but I found a place where someone copied the tweets. The parents completely pissed off reaction (also check the caption on the insta video) is the thing that always made this whole thing super surreal to me. Stuff like this just does not happen in the era of the NFL's hyperfocused PR.

https://i77.servimg.com/u/f77/20/00/22/83/b5810310.jpg

Just utterly surreal to watch accompanied with Tyreek’s “can’t let him score” comment.

TwistedChief 06-22-2023 02:57 AM

That's absolutely outrageous. It's not like he even pulls the kid's flag - he just goes for the legs and trips him....

Great work tracking that down, guys.

Giving him a little benefit of the doubt, it's POSSIBLE that he was trying to "fake" tackle like another guy just before it in the video and clipped the kid just enough to trip him up. But yeah, not a good look.

I'd hate to think Tyreek is the type of person to let his hyper-competitive nature bleed into a charity flag football game against autistic 10-year olds, but then again, you probably don't become an elite WR in the NFL at 5'8" unless you're a bit of an asshole

Mecca 06-22-2023 09:15 AM

I've seen that video before and honestly it's still reaching at best.

He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.

Kind of funny that Hill and Jamaal Charles both helped the Chiefs win their first games against us with fumbles.

Even sweeter than the man we drafted thanks to Hill is who forced it.

He went Cheata on Mrs McD?

I was hoping that this was an update to the original trade where we were awarded an extra 3 because tyreek gave up a fumble 6 in another country.

Proof Mike is a shit coach. Best player in the league is never a WR. It's always a QB and he doesn't have a good one at all. Tua will never win Jack shit if he has 3 Hills.

Tyreek might be the best “football” player in the nfl

But it’s a qb league and he’s not got the right one

BossChief 04-21-2024 11:00 PM

More proof that Andy is the GOAT.

BossChief 04-21-2024 11:05 PM

Also, if Tyreek is the best player in the NFL…what does that make Sneed?

Bump 04-21-2024 11:50 PM

The coach isn't gonna say "you're supposed to be the 2nd or 3rd best player in the league!" but Tyreek probably made that part up anyways. You could make an argument for non-QB best player though.

Even the "best player n the league" can't overcome shit play calling and bad decisions by an average at best QB...

Yea, McDaniels probably said something like,"Tyreek, you're supposed to be the MAN."

It makes Sneed "not quite good enough for us to pay for"

Rain Man 04-22-2024 08:19 AM

Maybe Tyreek's memories are getting mixed up, and what really happened was that an opposing lawyer said, "You're claiming to be the best player in the league, and yet you say you can't come up with $100,000 a month for this next new child of yours?"

He lost the Bills playoff game in 2022 due to his inability to get plays in on time all the while vaping on the sidelines. Should of been fired for that right after the game.

Tyreek at 30 years old now... have to start wondering what type of player he'll be when his premier speed starts to diminish with age.

ThaVirus 04-22-2024 01:35 PM

He’ll be fine. Watch any Miami games and you’ll see the dude is always wide open. Like, oddly wide open. Not a dude within a 5 yard radius.

He could lose two steps and still be quicker/faster than other elite receivers like Lamb, Adams, and Jefferson.

Agreed. He’s that kind of special player that comes along once in a great while. He’s a burner, yea, but he was taught to be a helluva route runner too. So as he ages he’ll still find the open spots, catch, make somebody miss and move forward.

I’d say the only thing that can stop him is child support.

He’s referring to the Dolphins/Bills playoff game that the Dolphins behind QB3 Skylar Thompson should’ve won had they been able to get plays in on time.

Agreed. He’s that kind of special player that comes along once in a great while. He’s a burner, yea, but he was taught to be a helluva route runner too. So as he ages he’ll still find the open spots, catch, make somebody miss and move forward.

I’d say the only thing that can stop him is Tua.

FYP

Ok, it was 70 points so a little different. Their starters scored 50 then their backups scored 20 not even trying lol it was pretty impressive, especially considering the fact that we only average like 20 PPG against the same defense.

I’d say the only thing that can stop him is child support.

Yep, he’s a Hall of Fame talent. I was sure of it as far back as 2017.

None of those dudes fall off at 30. Hell, Desean Jackson was smaller, slower and never really became a great route runner or contested catcher (like Tyreek) and yet he was really effective into his 30s.

He could lose two steps and still be quicker/faster than other elite receivers like Lamb, Adams, and Jefferson.

Yeah, he turned himself into a good route runner and thats got him a ticket to the HOF.

He'll be an elite WR for another 3-4 years. And maybe another 1-2 years as one of the top 5-10 WR in the game.

I mean, sure it was an impressive game for Miami, but:

The Chiefs and Dolphins were both legendary for a game this last football season.

The Fins got a nice regular season W, a pat on the back, and Twitter and sports show talking heads going nuts for a week.

The Chiefs got a Lombardi trophy for their effort.

When you rush for 350 yards and 8ypc and 5 rushing touchdowns, IMO that's a lot more about an NFL defense quitting than a super impressive offensive performance.

The Chiefs struggles against them and the Broncos turnaround just goes to show how badly they quit in that game (and tbe Chiefs didn't really give a shit, either).

I still think Hill could be back here in 2026/2027 for his age 32 and 33 seasons.

Maybe not - he may just be fully into being in Miami and have no interest in coming back to cold-ass KC. He has his rings, his money, his HoF career - there's nothing much else to play for at that point. He could just hang 'em up as he's suggested at times.

But I think he's been pretty damn disappointed to not be a part of what's been built here and I think he may be interested in finishing things up here.

Obviously that sort of performance requires a perfect storm of a lot of factors, but it was only week 3. I don’t think the players had given up on the season just yet. If they gave up that particular day, it was probably because they were already getting manhandled.

Credit to the Dolphins. It was like that 8 rushing TD day we laid on the Falcons back in 04 or whatever.

If it makes sense financially, I’d welcome him back with open arms.

He’s one of my favorite Chiefs of all time. He’s certainly one of the most electric and fun to watch, up there with guys like Pat and Jamaal Charles.

He ain't coming back. In 2026 he'll be 32, probably still pretty damn effective and looking for a final payday. Which the Chiefs ain't gonna give him.

He gone. We're fine.

Tyreek needs to learn to shut up.

BigRedChief 04-23-2024 08:29 PM

Sounds like he’s not working out in Miami. If all you do is chace money, you will never find your happiness in life

Sure.

Dolphins/Broncos at halftime: 35-13
Chiefs/Bears at halftime: 34-0

One team kept their starters in and ran up the score on a defeated team and the other team completely shut it down on offense after one last scoring drive early in the 2nd half.

I wouldn't really call one more impressive than the other, but would definitely call one strategy smarter than the other.

This is true but without hanging 70 on the Broncos would there really be anything memorable about the Dolphins team last season?

Latest drivel is that reek felt disrespected when Pacheco was given #10. He said "I didn't like that, I felt disrespected by that, there's only one 10."

Dumb ****.

We gave 88 to Jody ****ing Fortson, okay? Your number isn't sacred.

Their starters scored 56 points in 3 quarters hardly even trying. Then their backups came in and scored 24 in less than 15 minutes also not really trying.

What they did was more impressive than what we did against Chicago.. and that’s OK to admit.

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill has been eyeing new contract since conclusion of 2023 NFL season, per report

Hill, who reportedly wants a bump in pay, just saw his teammate land a new deal

The NFL's wide receiver market has continued to boom this offseason, as two pass-catchers -- A.J. Brown and Amon-Ra St. Brown -- surpassed Tyreek Hill's $30 million-per-year benchmark. However, even before those two stars put pen to paper on their new contracts, the Miami Dolphins wideout was looking to adjust his deal.

Hill, who turned 30 in March, has been looking for a new contract since the end of the 2023 season, where he led the NFL in both receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13), according to Pro Football Talk. The reason why is because Hill's $30 million-per-year figure isn't a "real" number. As explained by Mike Florio, the final year compensation on Hill's deal is a whopping $45 million. How likely is it that Hill will play out his contract in its entirety, where Spotrac indicates he has a $56.3 million cap hit in 2026? Hill made north of $26 million in cash in 2022 and 2023, and is due $19,765,000 in 2024, per Spotrac.

Pro Football Talk reports that Hill's efforts to find a new deal intensified when Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles inked a three-year extension worth $96 million to keep him in the fold for at least six more seasons. Hill does have a case for a new contract. In his two seasons with the Dolphins, he's finished in the top two in receiving yards. In fact, Hill is the first player in NFL history to record multiple seasons of 1,700 receiving yards. No NFL player has had more receptions of 25+ yards over the last two years than Hill.

While the Dolphins have a quarterback extension to worry about, and just agreed to a three-year, $84.75 million extension with Jaylen Waddle, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take care of Hill soon. This wide receiver market isn't going to slow down, as other stars like Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Ja'Marr Chase and Brandon Aiyuk are looking to break financial records in the near future.

They'll trade or release him after this year. It was always a 3 year and "we'll see" deal.

Dunerdr 05-30-2024 12:15 PM

Just take a WR in one of the first two rounds every year. **** it.

ChiTown 05-30-2024 12:30 PM

I get it. Kids shoes and Baby Mama's are expensive...and Ty has got a lot of them to manage.

KCJake 05-30-2024 12:43 PM

He'll be playing somewhere else next year. What a waste man. Guy could be here winning Super Bowls and setting records. And still be making big money.

I liked Ty, but that's just life with the Cap in the NFL. He's got his ring. Now he just wants to make as much as he can, while he can. Makes sense to me.
