I would like to thank you Fishpicker, that Warhammer Inquisitor game is great, made for controller too. Plays like a dream lots of content and for $15 for the game and all DLC it's a steal. Don't think i've played a better controller diablo style game in my life. ;)

Speaking of.....did anyone ever play Death Stranding? Or beat it?

I remember thinking that was an absolute lock of a can't miss game....then nothing.

Just bought a PS5 from Amazon - you have to enroll to be invited to purchase. I did and received the invite! Must purchase within 72 hours. Got the disc version for $615 out the door. Stoked to receive it this Thursday! Will transfer my PS4 Pro info and then flip that on eBay to hopefully recoup some of the cost. :thumb::thumb:

Was it a bundle package? $615 seems high. I know you can also do the same thing with PlayStation if you have an account. Even though I bought one from them last year I still get emails letting me know they are available and if I login I can purchase one without it being a bundle.

I was assuming that included tax, which basically (depending on the tax rate) is about $560-$570, which isn't too bad. However I've been able to find them in stock at local stores for MSRP. I picked one up at Gamestop & while I was shopping for a few last minute x-mas gifts at Wal Mart they had Xbox Series X's & PS5's in stock. So hopefully he got a game or an extra controller with it.

Where are my roguelite and chess fans at? Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate is a wonderful little game (especially on my Steam Deck), that pits you, the black king, against the white pieces. The twist is, you have a shotgun. You simply move (which reloads and adds more ammo if your gun is full) and shoot, while they slowly take turns in an attempt to put you in checkmate. Usually your goal is to kill their white king. Each successful level has you picking a new perk with a subsequent buff to the white side (the roguelike factor). It's really fun, and cheap ($8).

It is the God of War Ragnarök bundle. The console disc edition I got was like $549 but with tax came out to approx $615. I am VERY cool with that! :thumb:

Keep your eye out. There's a new boxing game coming out soon that looks promising. I believe it's in alpha now. They've changed the name 2 or 3 times so I'm not sure what the name is now but I will look it up if you want.

Started playing a little bit of "Death Stranding" since it's on PS+.

....I can't decide if i wanna dedicate the time to this or not. So far most of the gameplay is just.....walking up a mountain. I mean, the 1st mission is morbid AF. The game is both odd and gorgeous to look at.

Being a post-apocalyptic mail man? Meh.

BUT, when the 1st mission is carrying the corpse of your dead mother up a mountain so you can burn her before she becomes (i dont even know what), while using a monster-detecting baby in an incubator as your most valuable tool is.....interestingly morbid.

This has been out a year or so, it's based on Rocky and his foes. Was a decent boxing game If I remember correctly. I also believe it's on PS4 as well as PC. If your controller is bluetooth it should work on PC, I'm using an Xbox one controller with bluetooth and it works flawlessly, I've heard Ps5 Controllers work fine too but not sure about Ps4.

If that won't work for you there is always one of the older Fight Night games on PC via Emulator...

Looks a bit like Risk of Rain 2

I beat Crisis Core last night. Prequel to FF7 that was released on PSP originally.

Great story, the way they do the story progression and level grinding is separated so you can level grind and get really strong which makes the story battles almost irrelevant. I was one-shotting boss fights in the story and I think the final boss was like 3-4 hits.

But the story is really good so it was all worth it.

You made a comment about the game a while back about how you were shocked with who was coming next. What did you mean by that? I’m completely clueless as to where they go from here. Seems Kratos’ arc is wrapped up. Perhaps they follow Atreus/Loki now? I didn’t mind the parts of the game where I had to play as him, but I’m not sure I’d be interested in a GoW without Kratos.

Smite is like 50% of my video game play time.

Had a dude quit and sit in base during a ranked match because our jungler didn’t drop his blue buff for him. Never mind the fact that our jungler was 3-0 focusing on ganking duo lane (their carry was a free kill).

ya smite players are a special kind of stupid for the most part. If your solo laner cried about the jungler not dropping his blue, then he's a shit solo laner. He should want that xp and gold solo, not dropped for him lol. I mainly play jungle and solo, jungle is blamed for everything and I play solo because shit solo laners lose games completely.

Interesting. I didn't get villainous vibes from Sindri, but it's a direction they could go.

I prefer mid and carry, but this season I am struggling to get going. I don't like the new items, balancing, or the Conquest map.

Yooo the first 20 minutes of Returnal are fire. I feel like those who like fast paced shooters would get on well. It also might be the best looking game I've ever played, but be sure you have a beefy system.

I was thinking about trying that game. But man, it looks like a Michael Bay movie with all the excessive colorful explosions.

I am but I mostly suck at it, great game though I keep trying hard. ;)

Feels like a shooter version of Elden Ring to me, might be the best roguelike ever made if that's your thing. I especially enjoy how it's pretty much all randomly generated other than some rooms that have to be the same. Still they are placed randomly so you don't know where they are. Also if you do play be careful what you upgrade to, some guns look like a huge upgrade but certain perks won't fit your playstyle and will end a run.

Hades is the only roguelike I ever really played and love it. I was thinking about giving Returnal a shot since I got a PS5 now but that main character...

Returnal about 10 hours in is definitely in the conversation for greatest roguelike ever. The shooting and movement mechanics are utterly sublime, and the main character has Ripley like qualities. I wouldn't put off trying it if wokeism is a concern. It's great in most areas for fans of Roguelikes.

It doesn't seem any more woke than the original Tomb Raider, I don't even notice it.

So after inevitable delays Sons Of The Forest dropped and is every bit as addictive as the 1st. Beautiful looking, love the building system, AI is top notch.

It works better than most tripple A games on launch day...

This has been my goto game since launch back on Division 1. Super pumped for the new game mode next season...Ninjabike Messenger bag is HUGE this season for all those badass builds I can find. :)
