So no, not every team's fan bases do the "same thing"

I can't control the things rustshack says. You've heard my opinion loud and clear. Lots of unknowns on the Cavs, not ready to win yet, still missing a big piece at center. Almost every Cavs fan I know is pretty realistic about what the team has. It's pretty much one person here saying a lot of things I completely don't agree with.

RustShack 07-27-2014 06:38 PM

Lol I haven't even said Cleveland will win the Championship this year. How am I being unrealistic? Because I'm excited about all the potential?

When you call Blatt an offensive genius and Waiters the next DeWayne Wade, yeah, you're overstating the case quite a bit.

RustShack 07-27-2014 06:43 PM

There's a million examples of guys not living up to their potential.

RustShack 07-27-2014 07:08 PM

Which Blatt is a little different situation. But I'm very confident he and Lue will be a nice upgrade over Brown and clowns.

RustShack 07-27-2014 08:38 PM

But hey if you guys don't like talking about potential and things that could happen, being on a forum might not be for you.

Rust is full of ****ing shit that he knew about Blatt before he interviewed with the Cavs.

I've also watched a ton of ESPN basketball coverage and read tons of articles about Blatt over the last 5 months and not one said a thing about him being comparable to Pop.

You've gone ****ing mad. Waiters isn't even close to Nick Young so please spare me with the Wade comparisons. There's none.

Waiters is going to be a journeyman NBA player and Wade is a first ballet HOF.

LMAO

There you go. I don't slam the Wolves as much because I don't care about them as much. Presti has made some great moves in the draft. He's also made some bad ones and has made some horrible trades. I can get beyond any of that. What I don't understand is flat refusing to learn from his mistakes. Perk sucks, so I'll give him an extension. Fisher sucks, but we should re-sign him. Brooks sucks, but I'm refuse to roll the dice.

I still don't get your need for name-calling, but, alas, it's what you do.

You got banned, because in a thread dedicated to talking about one of the premier basketball programs in history, you shat up every page with nonsense about Iowa State, a program that no one except you gives a shit about. It was off-topic, ridiculous, and trollish.

It would be like going into a thread about the movie Casablanca and every other post is you talking about how McDonald's Shamrock shake is going to be better than ever this March.

Derailing threads is annoying as ****, and you were incessant about it.

I was at MCD and they had made an extra chocolate shake, so they gave it to me. I couldn't drink more than a sip, so I just left it on the table while I did some work. It soon separated into various layers of material while maintaining the same volume. It was disgusting/interesting.

Congrats on accomplishing that for the first time in your school's rich history? By all of your posts, you can clearly tell this recent success is new to you. String those seasons together for a couple decades, then I'm sure the KU posters on here would gladly acknowledge ISU's newfound, self-proclaimed dominance that you so majestically speak of.

Items that contain fats and water will always end up settling into different layers without substantial emulsifiers present because polar and non-polar molecules are immiscible.

I don't necessarily think the Cavs will get to the finals...they are going to be the favorites, though.

It basically hinges on the Bulls. If Rose is 80% MVP Rose...they have a shot as well.

If not? Cavs are going to go the Finals. The East really sucks.

That never came from the Lakers. It was the LA Times who tried to envision a scenario where Randle, Boozer and Hill were on the floor at the same time.

Boozer isn't playing small forward. That's lunacy.

The heat are still a good team. They have a ton more experience. The cavs have quite a few unknowns.

No doubt LeBron chose right to go with the young, ascending team. I don't think the cavs are ready yet, even if they add love.

Hootie 07-29-2014 07:51 AM

if the Heat win 30 games next year I'd be surprised

Wade is done.

Bosh might lead the league in 3s, though LMAO

mcaj22 07-29-2014 08:18 AM

they will win 40+ easy because the east is that shitty and they have more than enough experience.

Hootie 07-29-2014 08:22 AM

what does experience have to do with the fact Dwayne Wade is done? Chris Bosh isn't going to suddenly start dominating the paint now.

It's over. They should've let those two walk and started a new rebuild. I realize the east is shitty...but it's not like Dwayne Wade is suddenly going to be Dwayne Wade of 2006 again.

Once those small SG's start to go, they go. Wade had a good run but he's nowhere close to a star player anymore. Bosh makes me lol. Keep shooting threes their Chrissy.

Moving bosh back to the 4, I bet, helps immensely. This is probably a better team than the Heat team that made the playoffs before LeBron was there. Trust me, definitely not a heat fan, but I think their being in the east, they have at least a solid enough team. But they will barely compete with firing playoff teams, let alone Cleveland or Chicago, and especially let alone any West playoff team.

Hootie 07-29-2014 09:02 AM

Perhaps. I could most certainly be wrong. I realize the East is quite bad...I just don't see how Dwayne Wade is going to be the best player on any playoff team.

and Chris Bosh...well, what can I say. Either he simply couldn't play with LeBron or he is just a soft pussy who no longer is a good NBA player.

If Chris Bosh can go back to 20 and 10 maybe the Heat can get a 6 seed.

At least Miami "fans" will all disappear for a while.

RustShack 07-29-2014 02:15 PM

He's not a small SG.

Wade certainly wasn't what he once was, but he was still effective when he played until the Finals. It wouldn't be unheard of for him to come back with a FU season after LeBron left. Manu looked even more cooked in last year's playoffs, and he came back with a vintage Manu season this year. I think Bosh will be more well rounded, similar (but not as good) as his Toronto days. That said, I'm still not a fan. I'd guess with Deng they'll be a playoff team, but in the bottom four of the conference.

okcchief 07-29-2014 06:43 PM

Unless they have injury issues Miami will be a playoff team in the East. I think LeBron will do better with the supporting cast in Cleveland, but as a stand alone team without LeBron Miami is a better team because of experience. Wade is declining for sure but it wouldn't be surprising if he had a solid year. People overreact a little much.

Manu came off the bench all year. He only started a few games in the play offs when Danny Green was sucking.

Manu looked better this year because he played fewer minutes all year.

Knicks offered Amare, Shumpert, and Hardaway Jr for Love.

We wisely turned that down, of course.
