Nah, I will actually feel sorry for you a bit. You've been a douche for about six months though. I liked you before your recent douche-off victory. lol

Hopefully A&M goes to the SEC and that will be the straw that broke the Big XII's back.

That doesn't help our situation.

Laz, I know it's difficult for you to fathom as you are a little shallow and whole lot too emotional. But I wasn't the one who said Utah had Hatch. I was agreeing with the KU poster who said it first.
He stated that Utah has a smaller population base than KCMO and Wichita. I pointed out through a google search that in fact Utah has a pretty large and faster growing metro area in the Provo-Orem area.

The KU is chained to KSU was the phogtard talking point brought up in this thread by KU fans to pacify their growing concern of being left out of the realignment. It was also part of the KSU/KU are linked by law that several people posted in this thread. I merely bust the myths, I don't make the myths.

But you keep on carrying the cross.

actually, i posted a press release just a day or so ago from the KBOR that stating that they wanted to keep KSU/KU together. So it's not a myth ... and while i don't know that there is a law about it ... the regents control much if not all of the state funding so it might as well be law unless the schools are prepare to decline state funds.

“We are unwavering in our belief that the best course for K-State and KU is continued joint affiliation in the Big 12. The intra-conference rivalry between the Jayhawks and Wildcats is exciting for athletics fans both within the Sunflower state and nationwide. In addition, joint affiliation in the Big 12 fosters invaluable cooperation between our two universities when it comes to serving the academic needs of Kansans and the economic development needs of the state.

Feel sorry for me? Dude, I deal with bigger issues every day in real life. Things that are out of my control are just that. Out of my control.

You should feel sorry for the folks who were wigging out over this entire realignment as if it were going to change their life.

I for one will be less of a fan if this goes down.

Laz, I don't think the BOR would cut funding to any state university. What they will do is jump state tuition to defray any loss that the state uni's may take over this.

Damn you Missouri!

teedubya 06-13-2010 06:39 PM

Missouri is a top state... there is no way they are overlooked for a big conference.

I mean look... they are the nations LEADER.

Counter point could be that MO. Law enforcement is doing a better job of shutting down meth labs.

The thing Mizzou fans need to be rooting against the most is A&M straying from the others and going to the SEC. The Pac-10 would still need one more team in that instance, and early rumblings are that they'd go after either Utah or Kansas. If Kansas leaves, then Mizzou's leverage crumbles that much more. In that instance, the odds of Mizzou ending up in the MWC or CUSA increase a decent amount.
