Sure, he wants a new deal but I seriously doubt his rookie contract has a no trade clause. His only options would be to play for whoever trades for him or sit out. Having said that, I doubt Green Bay gives up the farm for him for only one guaranteed year immediately after letting Adams walk. That would be pretty stupid to expend all of the draft capital you just acquired to fill a void that you created in the first place.

Guys, it's highly unlikely we just traded an elite but expensive WR for a haul of picks; only to use those picks to trade for and pay for an elite but expensive WR.

Not with like...21 players under contract for 2023.

this is a restocking the cupboard draft, and we'll use the bulk of these picks to do that.

I just said the same thing about Green Bay. It wouldn't make sense to try to fill a void you intentionally created with all the cool stuff you got for creating it.

Yet here we are. Discussing a DK trade for like the millionth time now.

It’s ****ing stupid. **** DK Metcalf.

I’d rather see what Baltimore would want for Bateman

Or Hollywood

No more trading for best that you need to pay shortly after acquiring. We need to draft well and replenish.

So that this year and next offseason money will open up

The main difference with Green Bay is that they offered him a deal on par with what he got from the Raiders. He just refused to continue to play for the Packers even at equal money.

Their trading him was much less intentional than it was our trading Hill.

Everybody wants this guy...and then immediately doesn't want this guy and unloads him as soon as possible.

4 teams in 7 years is pretty telling.

First thing that comes to mind with Cooks is him getting knocked the **** out in the Super Bowl. That was a big ****ing hit.

In58men 04-03-2022 05:11 PM

He’s younger than Cooper Kupp lol

BossChief 04-03-2022 06:38 PM

He’s got scrambled eggs for brains, otherwise he’s a pretty damn good WR.

Chief Roundup 04-03-2022 06:42 PM

Is this guy the ultimate in value? Has there been any other, non QB, player ever traded for so many picks?
Cooks was drafted in 2014 20th overall immediately traded for the 27th and 91st in the same draft. After 3 years, 2800 yards, and 20 TDs, the Saints traded him to the Pats for the 32cd and 103rd. After one year the Pats traded him for 23rd and 198th to the Rams. After 2 years he was traded to the Texans for the 57th overall pick. After 2 years now the Texans are now considering trading Cooks.
Up to this point Cooks value in draft picks has been 3 first rounders, 1 second rounder, 2 third rounders and 1 sixth rounder.
