Yes but I don't have time to put any real thought into this until Thurs or Fri.

I see that a lot of fans don't wanna blak out arrowhead because the sea of red is traditional. What if we was to wear our jerseys inside out. That covers up the logo and the player and you still have that glimmer of red.

I think this movement would get more fans involved. Turning a jersey inside out would be a good idea imo

Would that make any impact?

Red is red. This has to contrast and black does that perfectly.

Mr. Flopnuts 10-31-2012 06:43 AM

Keep in mind also that the message behind this blackout is that we, as fans are in mourning over this team. They have no heart, no soul, and they seem like they've lost desire. Going to Arrowhead these days feels like attending a funeral. Black is the perfect color to make that statement.

In58men 10-31-2012 06:52 AM

Well how many fans will be willing to turn there jerseys inside out? All the people that are opposed to wearing black might be willing to do this. Pictures and media will be the impact. It'll definitely be noticed in the stadium. The camera gives close ups quite a bit of the crowd. I think it'll bring in more people. I'm not against the blackout, I'm just trying to think of ways to get more people involved.

I'll be at the game tomorrow, you can bet that my jersey will be turned inside out. It shows embarrassment and disappointed. It's inexpensive. Eventually we are going to need more ideas. We still have a lot of football left.

Hey, we're glad to hear ideas. They won't all stick but throwing out a bunch of ideas is what leads to the gems.

The good thing about doing this, is that the fans can still wear red. It doesn't cost much and it's a good way for us to show disappointment. Think about guys. Thanks

But you have to look at the movement "collectively" per say. From a distance black contrasts against red better than anything else. Media isnt going to take pictures of 1 dude with a black shirt on. Its a movement, therefore the more "group"-ish of a photo they can get with more people wearing black-the bigger the effect is going to have. You go flippin your shirt inside out and instead of getting the "oh wow, these fans dont mess around, they arent happy", you get the,"so they woke up way too early and dont know how to dress themselves". From a distance it doesnt matter if your shirt is on right or wrong, inside out or not, red is still red.

So by wearing black states that the fans aren't "messing around"? There's several black Chief jerseys being worn inside Arrowhead in the first place. Media doesn't necessarily have to be the ones taking the pictures. It could be anybody, big tailgate parties with a group of people. If we take several pictures and put them out there the media will catch on regardless. I got the idea from a SF/Det game when Det went 0-16. I remember seeing 4 fans wearing them inside out.

Point is...it will no be the Sea of Red that it is traditionally. This will signify something. Turning a jersey inside out (while a appreciate the notion) does not have the same visual effect of a bunch of black jerseys. It would have the effect of covering a tooth with white tape. No difference. Cover the tooth with black tape...noticeable.

Weird analogy I know, but it IS Halloween.

Understandable, but are we trying to black out every game? Is this going to be a one time deal? If so, then this is just another idea of "rebellion", if that's the correct term. We have 8 more games left. If we can't get any more ideas then I think this will be good. Not everyone will have to spend money because most fans have jerseys already.

All the fans that are against wearing black might consider the option to wear their jersey inside out. Then we just grew bigger.

Black trash bags.

Everybody has those.
