JOHN CENA YOU CAN GO TO HELL

STRAIGHT TO HELL

arrowheadnation 03-02-2025 12:59 AM

Wrestlers dropping F-bombs, bleeding, smoking blunts in the ring, announcers swearing...the PG era is turning in its grave....AND I'M SO HERE FOR IT!

Mosbonian 03-02-2025 12:55 PM

Just don't get turning Cena to a heel this late in his career....makes no sense.

Literally nobody was going to buy tickets (super expensive) to see happy go lucky John Cena oh gee golly I tried job to Cody Rhoades at WM.

Turning heel at least brings something fresh to a familiar script and they needed a jolt after a limp dick Rumble.

Shock factor. Personally, I thought the highlight of the night was jade. I don't really even care for her but I just loved that moment at that time.

Really? Makes perfect sense to me. They have their new face of the company in Rhodes and while a nostalgia bait tour with Cena would've been nice a modern day Two Man Power Trip with Rock is way more interesting, especially considering all the shit Cena has said about him in the past and his constant losing streaks. In hindsight he was the perfect candidate to sell his soul, they just bumbled the execution a wee bit by having him win the chamber more or less clean.

IMO the best way would've been Seth and Cena as the final two with Roman appearing to spear the **** out of Seth and give Cena the victory. On the surface it appears he did it as revenge for Seth stomping him at the Rumble but after Cena turns heel then it may have been Rock sending Roman to ensure Cena won.

I get what you are saying...but this could have been done when he lost to Jey Uso....the perfect opportunity to get mad and turn heel.

poolboy 03-02-2025 03:23 PM

Cena's heel face was priceless...loved it

Sassy Squatch 03-02-2025 03:49 PM

Oh, and Jey Uso is almost undoubtedly opening Night One. His entrance is the perfect opener to get the crowd hot.

Plenty of pro athletes have a hard time admitting their time is up.

Cena would be no different.

That’s why I think the heel turn was perfect.

Sassy Squatch 03-02-2025 04:19 PM

It HAS been up LMAO. Dude hasn't won a one on one match in over half a decade. Hell, wasn't the last one the event where he got absolutely squashed by Sikoa? Before that was jobbing to Austin Theory.

Well, yeah but storyline wise it makes sense.

He’s lost a ton recently. Hasn’t had a title.

He’s on his way out. Reality sets in that the can’t do it on his own anymore.

Sells his souls for one more title.

Sorta like old pro athletes that turn to PEDs late in their careers.

GloucesterChief 03-02-2025 09:12 PM

wonder if they are going to put a stable around Cena.

Cena not winning for a long time is just bookers, and maybe him wanting to put younger wrestlers over (which not everyone who has been around as long as Cena is willing to do).

Turning heel gives him an excuse in the storyline to win again, and to give some life to his last run. This isn't close to Hogan's late career heel turn (which was HUGE for those old enough to remember it), but the logic is similar.

Talk about a waste of a wrestler....Austin Theory is someone who never impressed me. Not sure why they wasted any effort with him.

He seems stiff wrestling and then putting him in a buddy situation with Grayson Waller made him even less of a guy to watch.
