If we're being honest, this defense looks like it missed Danna just as much as Gay and McDuffie.

Hopefully he's back next week.

I wonder, with the offense coming together and the defense playing fairly well, if this team is going to snowball and really be looking vicious by the end of the season. Feels like we’re still in third gear

Joe Thuney will never get the proper credit he deserves bc he plays G but he was ****ing awesome tonight.

He didn’t lose one time that I saw

I dunno about that. Collinsworth was slobbing his knob every chance he got. Well deserved, but still.

Nice to see what this offense is when the OL does their jobs properly.

I dont get missing McDuffie. We barely saw thee. His replacements have played fine.

I don’t mean “missing” him of course, just that we built the D around him being a starter and we haven’t seen the unit at full strength yet.

LOL McDuffie was so good that no one was even throwing his way. Don’t get it twisted, he’s a great corner and we miss him.

mr. tegu 10-02-2022 09:49 PM

Can’t really complain too much about not pressuring Brady much. There may not be anyone better at subtly avoiding pressure or getting rid of the ball quickly to the right spot.

Chieftain 10-02-2022 09:49 PM

This was an Andy Reid masterclass. About as perfect as you can orchestrate an offense against one of the league's best defenses. Mahomes played one of his best games ever even though the stats may not tell that.

Reid trusted Mahomes not to make a bad pass, as he should

Either run it for a short gain or throw it to an open man. Mahomes forced that one. He should’ve scrambled and went down before contact

You mean in the preseason? He hardly played a single game in the regular season. We don't know how he'd do against Mike Williams or Mike Evans. Is he available to cover Adams next week? I'd love him back too, but he's still a relative unknown until thrown in the fire.

There were a lot of changes this offseason, it’ll take some time for it all to come together. And I’m optimistic it will. I’ll throw last week’s game out of the equation. Those Indy cocks have been tormenting us since January of ‘96. Some teams just have the number of other teams (ask Brady about the Saints and Dolphins). I’m sill confident about a better than predicted (by the “experts”) season. We good.

Yeah the preseason AND the Arizona game. He played 21 passing downs against the Cardinals and was only targeted once. This was his M.O. in college, so there’s no reason to think he won’t be that same player in the NFL.

Thought that was a really nice bounce back by Reid and the coaching staff after the team's performance last week. Team came out ready to play immediately. The play calling on offense was much less predictable and put the team in a begood position to execute, 180 rushing yards versus 3 is no joke. It was almost like bowles and Andy swapped bodies for a couple hours and KC beat the buccaneers at their own game

Great job at learning the right lessons from last week and putting them into play.

Really impressive win.

Easy Tony, Macduffie knows his craft already. He's a great corner with excellent instincts. The only question is will his body hold up and will he get stronger/faster.

I felt like JJSS was supposed to flatten out on the interception, but he drifted a little down field and let the defender have a straight shot at the past.

Lol that play was meaningless. Mahomes was just like we are up 3 scores. Yolo

Not real sure why we were passing at all uo 3 scores with 5 min left but it really doesn't matter one way or another. We were at 98%+ win probability

This is stupid.

Don't try and discredit what the Chiefs did last night by saying 'well, our defense sucks'. No, it doesn't. TB has a very good defense. But you had a shitty game last night. Probably had a little something to do with the team you were playing. Between the Super Bowl and Shaq Barrett running his mouth this week, the Chiefs were fired up for this one. It showed.

This was a fun game be at.....but man are those Bucs fans salty.

Overall, there was a good amount of Chiefs fans there which made the Bucs fans all the more saltier. One fat, bald guy behind me kept saying (over and over and over again) "well, at least we beat them in the Super Bowl", to which I had to turn around and look at the fat **** and tell him "yeah, we all get it dude....."

As far as the game goes, it just never seemed like we were out of control at all (perhaps when CEH dropped the 4th down ball was [at least for me] the most "angst" I felt, but even that moment was quickly squashed with the sack/fumble)

At the end of the day, there's nothing quite like rolling in enemy territory with a bunch of entitled fans surrounding you, then cruising to a win. Sure, there are things the Chiefs need to do a little better on, but that was just a solid beat down in my book.....

and as far as the Bucs fans go.....No worries, as soon as Brady limps his old man body into retirement, they'll be irrelevant again!

That’s Al Bum Me. The reality of the Bucs situation is hitting him HARD. This is the last season the Bucs will be relevant for quite some time. Brady’s last ride, and they just got dominated. The good news is Al will go back to being the pretty cool poster he was back when he hated Brady along with the rest of us. Just goes to show you how sudden popularity can affect a person/fan base. Probably to keep the defense guessing? If the offense gets predictable it gets easy to stop, and then you are punting.

RaidersOftheCellar 10-04-2022 08:08 AM

It seemed to me that Andy was calling the plays the other night, and Simms thought the same.

Did he yank Bienemy’s privileges after the Colts game? Really wish we knew what goes on there. I have little doubt that when the playcalling becomes questionable, it’s Bienemy.

In Brady's 6000 years in the NFL, an opponent's offense has scored 40+ only 6 times. 4 of those were Reid's Chiefs.
