And then there is this.............

Trevor Rosenthal had just 19 "clean" outings out of 75 appearances this year.

okcchief 10-13-2014 10:43 PM

I've wanted the i-70 series all along. I don't mind the Cardinals at all unless they are playing KC Hope both teams pull it off.

You just want to see if we can melt down the Planet's Server.:Poke:

BigRedChief 10-14-2014 09:27 AM

I found this information surprising. Some Hall of Fame players never make it to the post season or only make it once.

Yadi Molina has played in 83 post season games in his career so far.

BigRedChief 10-14-2014 09:57 AM

Derrik Goold is on STL radio saying he has been told that AJ is starting the game at catcher.

He was right. I am predicting a big game from him.

Good luck today Gents.

He is motivated.

You guys hear that AJ got thrown out of a game this year while he was with the Red Sox?

He needs a new ball. He turns around and says to the umpire "Give me one you can ****ing see". Ump immediately ejects him.

George Liquor 10-14-2014 02:26 PM

Lackey leaving everything up.

Jewish Rabbi 10-14-2014 02:27 PM

We just cannot ****ing win in SF

Jewish Rabbi 10-14-2014 02:28 PM

At least we got it over with early so I don't hafta waste my afternoon.

tk13 10-14-2014 02:28 PM

That was probably catchable but the wind knocked it down. Tough read.

George Liquor 10-14-2014 02:29 PM

Well... ****.

That was a catchable ball.

Bad News Bears defense is back ala 2012.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-14-2014 02:31 PM

That is an extremely hard OF to patrol, but that's a play that just has to be made. That's a three run miscue.

Lackey's control definitely was not there that inning, but Pierzynski was also calling several pitches up.

With this HP umpire, that's probably too much to overcome already.

Marcellus 10-14-2014 02:31 PM

I thought Randal was suppose to be a good outfielder.

BigRedChief 10-14-2014 02:35 PM

If Lackey doesn't get the ball down its only going to get worse.

Grichek should have had that ball and it would have been a 1 run game.

It's only the 1st inning and Hudson can give up a bunch of runs when he doesn't get that outside corner and you lay off that slider out of the zone.

I don't think OT could have done any better with that fly ball.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-14-2014 02:37 PM

Two straight balls scorched. Just keep putting good swings on the ball. They are going to need some hit sequencing today, because I don't know if anyone other than Holliday on a dead pull can hit it out of this park

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-14-2014 02:39 PM

Well, at least we won't get no-hit. :)

Yeah a line drive down the left field line below the majority of the wind is about the only ball that's getting out today.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-14-2014 02:40 PM

http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/...ype=2&s_type=7

Not a great zone for us so far.

kcpasco 10-14-2014 02:40 PM

The wind actually kept it from bieng 5-0.

They are going to have to be patient if they want to get back in this. You are going to just have to take some strikes on the outside corners and lay off that pitch that dives way out of the zone.

Make him come back over the plate and then they will kill it just like Wong did. Patience will be key. Don't try to get em all back in one inning. One AB.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-14-2014 02:43 PM

When Tim Hudson is battling and centering the ball, it might not be a long day for Lackey. Gat damn.

Normally, I'd agree, but this HP ump isn't going to let them be patient.

This zone is a ****ing joke. Just blew B2B calls, one to help us, one to hurt.

BigRedChief 10-14-2014 02:48 PM

Pitchers umpire thats for sure.

Really??!!! Seriously??!!!

8 innings to come back? After all the times this team has come back in just a few innings this postseason? 9 runs against Kershaw? Beat closers? Hudson ain't Kershaw.;)

BigRedChief 10-14-2014 02:53 PM

Grichek needs to learn to go to RF with those outside pitches.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-14-2014 02:54 PM

This is approaching Eric Gregg levels.

I haven't heard that name in years. But, both AJ and Lacke have adapted to the strike zone. Hopefully the hitters follow.

BigRedChief 10-14-2014 03:11 PM

Come on Peralta do something this postseason

tk13 10-14-2014 03:16 PM

Pence just did the same thing Grichuk did. 99.9% of people would probably struggle to stay with those fly balls.

kcpasco 10-14-2014 03:16 PM

That ball did the same thing to Pence. I think Grichuk can be forgiven.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-14-2014 03:16 PM

Got two back. Nice rip, Wong.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-14-2014 03:17 PM

Wong ROFL

BigRedChief 10-14-2014 03:17 PM

Wong does it again. Homer, Double, Triple in his last 3 AB's.

Yeah you can't blame Grichek now. Pence has been playing RF there for 2+ years right? He looked more lost than Grichek.

Pence was way off from where the ball came down. Broadcast called it 30 yards away from where the ball actually came down. At least Grichek was in the area.

kcpasco 10-14-2014 03:23 PM

Just hit the ball into deep right field and queue the Benny Hill music today.

George Liquor 10-14-2014 03:31 PM

That was big.

George Liquor 10-14-2014 03:32 PM

eDave 10-14-2014 03:34 PM

Sorry, but nice toss to 2nd by Hudson. Looked pretty.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-14-2014 03:35 PM

kcpasco 10-14-2014 03:37 PM

Does anyone feel like we are out of it? We are going to get more against Hudson. Just a matter of time till we put a hit or two together. The hitters have adjusted.

kcpasco 10-14-2014 03:46 PM

Holliday back to mashing the ball into the ground again.

BigRedChief 10-14-2014 03:47 PM

Holliday and Peralta are not producing with any consistency this postseason.

kcpasco 10-14-2014 03:48 PM

Come on Peralta just a base hit.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-14-2014 03:48 PM

Jay and Wong from turds to postseason heros...Cardinals.

Because he was absolutely horrible last year. This year he has been a productive player.

Pepe Silvia 10-14-2014 03:52 PM

You think Hudsons wife knows he's a choker? lol

Pasta Little Brioni 10-14-2014 03:52 PM

Like I said from turd to postseason hero

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-14-2014 03:53 PM

Jon Jay was horrendous in the playoffs last year. Grichuk at the plate, Holliday in the field bad. At this point, he's been our best player.

They might have been out of the strike zone but they were up. I think the Giants hitters saw that and just waited for one to hit.

kcxiv 10-14-2014 04:00 PM

Cards are the come back kids. I believe in yall!I dont care who wins as long as its not the Giants! lol

Thats what they do. Its just ****ing insane that its happening like that. Its un****ingreal. The probability of them coming back with nothing but home runs like that has to be off the ****ing charts. winning the lottery type shit.

Hootie 10-14-2014 04:08 PM

Gutty performance by Lackey
