I guess I just don't see 17 miles as that long. I've snapped photos of 4 different tornadoes. All four of them were on the ground for at least 30 miles with the aforementioned EF4 and an EF4 i saw in 1995 being on the ground for 57. I guess I've just seen (relatively speaking) a lot of long-track tornadoes.

Here's a pic of the EF4 and the second one was an EF2, IIRC. In the 2nd one, the structure to the left is actually a hail shaft. The tornado is at the base of the structure on the right. I never did get a picture of the actual funnel.

Been a tough few days in the south

It is hard to get a shitty photo of a tornado, and you managed to get really clear photos.

Nice work.

Thanks!

I take a lot of pics and movies of weather. Maybe some day I will link them here.

Same track 3rd straight day. I’ll just open a beer about 4pm and turn on the live weather. I’ve got no place to shelter, so there’s not much else to do. lol

On my own. I've always wanted to do one of those up-close-and-personal tours but just never could justify spending the money.

Interestingly enough, both of those pictures were taken from me back deck. I wasn't chasing them, they were chasing me.

Stay safe kids. I'll just be out here whithering away in the ****ing desert.

What the hell with that, anyway? It seems like you really are on some deserted island of drought where you are; literally everything around you gets hit.

Seems to be that way lately. But sometimes it hits.
