I can't get over that pass. There was no one within 20 yards of Robinson. That ball HAS TO STAY IN BOUNDS.

I remember that play. It was a lookout block...

Any NFL coach/team would agree they should be able to score more than 17. Especially the "highest scoring team in the NFL" right? Yes the O line was as inept as it has been in a long time. But can anyone name from memory the 5 number one draft picks that protect Tom Terrific, State Farm Rodgers (not really valid after yesterday) or Shorty McBrees? No. Everybody looks great standing in the pocket reading the USA Today, lighting a Camel no filter and then launching. But even those guys HAVE to on occasion take a few confident steps left or right then throw with a minor degree of accuracy. Alice cannot do it. In 5 seasons he hasnt been able to. It wont get better with age. He is a decent man who says and does all the right things. He is also a 11-5/10-6 QB who urinates down his leg when the chips are pushed to the middle. The first five games may have been the exception, not the all too familiar norm. His time is over for me. I'm ready for 8-8 and a wild card win, not another 12-4, bye, embarassing loss at home.

This is something that still concerns me.

As awesome as Alex is at using his legs, he still hasn’t mastered moving around IN the pocket. That’s a skill that he is completely lacking even after all this time.

It’ll be a long day for us when teams take away his ability to scramble and force him to beat them from the pocket.

Did we not have a chance to win it?

We needed West. Hunt is not a good blocker yet. West however is.

It isn’t a tough throw when the receiver has no one within 15 yards of him.

Several, but Andy Phillip Gaines and Alex made sure that didn't happen unfortunately.

He literally had to just keep that ball in bounds, a simple lob ANYWHERE in bounds and that's a td.

All of this. I’m not mesmerized on how Gaines was in perfect position and the ball hit off his helmet! Not even his hands

This is what it is. If things don't go right and the game is tough Alex Smith just ****ing folds. He hates getting hit and it will immediately make him play scared. There are plenty of QB's who get hit a ton that still stand in and make big time throws...he won't do that.

Any semblance of a team hitting him and he folds like a cheap ****ing suit. Rodgers gets ****ing blasted all the time, I don't see the excuses I've heard all over radio today about how that makes him inaccurate. You know why, cause that mother****er is tough and still makes the throw.

Alex Smith had a WR basically show him that he is a big play guy and Alex's response was, nah man I'm to worried about getting hit to win this game.

Sorenson is just as much at fault as Gaines if not more, balls tipped blast Brown. Whatever he did was about the worst shit ever he went, oh ball maybe tackle eh miss both.

To be fair he shook off those happy feet demons for wins against Philly, Washington and LA.

He’s not going to come through every week. Neither will Rodgers or Brady.

So now we are comparing one of the best QBs ever to a good QB in Smith? Smitty has plays like A Rod the past 5 games. Calm down! It’s one bad game. Even the Tom Brady’s of the worlds still have shitty games.

All Gaines had to do was knock it down. That was 3rd down. But okay we can blame Sorensen too, I'm okay with that.

They wouldn't put up a 5 yard half either...or miss a dude wide open down the middle. Or a wide open TD..or that dude again on the last drive.

The Steelers dared Alex to take that game and he refused to do it.
