Devonta Smith and Waddle are also smaller, but both look like they could be great wide receivers (assuming their qb doesn't screw them over). I just think Williams would excel with Reid. |
I know the “smart” thing would be to trade up a little for the best edge possible then draft a receiver project often. But damn I could talk myself into a trade up for a wideout then just draft high motor pass rushers often. Like go get a corvette now and buy a cheap work truck often.

We have whiffed on pass rush for a few years. Veach had better do something or it will be along year. Every team killed Burrow but us.

Veach will get roasted on here if we trade up for a WR. But if they see the guy they want and go and get him, I'm on board. WR1 has made this team go over the past few years. But the smart move is trading 29 and 50 for the DE and then using 30 on the WR they want if he's available. Please get Williams or Watson! |

The Arrowhead Pride guys are convinced the Chiefs are going to trade up as high as #10 for a DE. Their reasoning is that the Chiefs were completely inactive in the first round of DE free agents. So they think there's some that the Chiefs really like and they were planning to trade up even before the Hill trade.
Just reporting the news. We'll see what happens. |

Still, that doesn't mean that trading away most, if not all, of the value we got for Hill is a good idea, especially for a guy that can't contribute right away, if at all, in his first season. Bad ideas are bad ideas, even for Veach. |
