Taking a quick look see over at what Bills fans are saying the general consensus seems to be the wish they either traded up for Thomas Jr or wish they'd taken McConkey. Both are fair I'd say.

Chiefspants 12-27-2024 01:27 PM

McConkey was their miss. Dude would have been lethal in that offense.

Kiimo 12-27-2024 01:28 PM

I also had expressed coveting Brian Thomas Jr. He's really good and it's a shame he went to a shitty team.

Absolutely, I think we can if we pay the offense and draft the defense but something has to give. Trey Smith is going to get paid by us or somebody. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it I suppose. I trust Veach, he always finds a way.

Not really? Much rather he wallow on that dumpster fire of a franchise than somewhere he'd actually be a pain in our ass like Buffalo or Baltimore.

Didn’t the Viking use the Bills first round pick on Justin Jefferson?

Good lord. The Bills and draft trades.

Give up like 4 picks and a big contract for Diggs instead of Jefferson. Ouch.

RINGLEADER 12-27-2024 03:39 PM

Only 5 receivers have more TDs than Worthy’s 9 (6 receiving and 3 rushing TDs).

I think Worthy was the right pick for the Chiefs - especially when you factor in the four TD passes that didn’t quite reach their mark - because you know Pat is going to get that fixed and when he does look out.

BTW the five ahead of him are:

1. J. Chase CIN
2. T. McLaurin WSH
3. A. St. Brown DET
4. M. Andrews BAL tie with
4. J. Jefferson MIN

He may yet turn out ok? Just not as dynamic as Worthy.

But I do not understand why the Bills still trade with us??

I don't think he'll bust, he'll be a solid contested catch guy for a while. It's hard to play the way he does as a rookie, he should get better as he was a really raw player coming into the NFL. Bills should have drafted someone else other than trading down, but Coleman will still probably be a productive player.

They better not just use Worthy on the easy stuff since Brown is back. I think Worthy is a more capable pass catcher and is a bigger play maker. He needs to be used more than just a gadget guy.

Steve Smith really doesn't like his game. Thinks he needs to be a big slot and won't work as an X receiver. He doesn't think much of his athleticism either.

Coleman can't separate at all on the outside, that video has a bunch of clips of him getting handled in press and man coverage running a bunch of backyard football routes. They tell an anecdote from an AFC defensive coach that said before Buffalo traded for Cooper they had nothing worth respecting on the outside.

I dunno why Buffalo drafted him so high, he's a project that has very little of the fundamentals you need to actually be a good contested catch guy in the NFL. He'd be fine as a third round pick, but trading down from the first to take him at the top of the 2nd? No way.

Mahomes doesn't see him half the time or doesn't have the protection to wait. Those easy screens and inside out pivots are the easiest way to get some yards or much more. It also makes the coverage move up or it's death by a thousand cuts and lots of time coming off the clock.

Xavier is really good at creating quick separation against man, and moving him around and in the backfield creates mismatches. Andy got him man to man against a Pitt linebacker on one of Worthy's big plays.

This is the classic pass play as a run play Andy likes. Makes sense, our run game couldn't get started in between the hashes.

Sure, if you take my dynasty draft pick of BTJ out of the equation!!! But why would you do that when you know how important it is???

He wants video game football. It doesn't count if the ball doesn't have 20 yards in the air, at least.

Kiimo 12-28-2024 11:45 AM

He should watch the Bengals or the Browns. Plenty of excitement before Jan 8th!

In another thread I outlined the best path for the offense was to force the other team into 2 high safeties and to throw the ball to Kelce and D Hop in the 8-12 yard range.

AKA, 2022 Kansas City Chiefs offense. That's not based on video games you mongoloid.

Hopefully he gets stronger because he gets taken down too easily on first contact. But that one over the shoulder grab he had was incredible

He's the only one (other than Brown with 2 targets) that had more than one target for the WRs and he had 6 targets, 5 receptions. Noone else had a reception of the WRs.

Thank you Buffalo for Worthy. LMAO

Bl00dyBizkitz 01-26-2025 09:14 PM

This kid is freakin legit. He looks like a completely different player compared to early in the season. This is so awesome.

Bump 01-26-2025 09:16 PM

Dude is legit

I mean, what did folks expect?

Buehler445 01-26-2025 09:25 PM

This isn't how I thought it would go. I thought he'd be in space all over the place. Nope, contested catches everywhere.

TheGuardian 01-26-2025 09:26 PM

When Rice comes back next year, OMG we are going to terrorize the league.

Sassy Squatch 01-26-2025 09:26 PM

Fitting he had his best game tonight.

It's nuts. Worthy a star 85 yards. Meanwhile Coleman 1 catch

Mahomes007 01-26-2025 09:29 PM

What happened with Hopkins? He being phased out? Juju took his snaps!

This kid is great. I will say he probably could've scored on his last catch if he cut back, but whatevs

Womble 01-26-2025 09:42 PM

Worthy and Rice are going to be an unreal WR combo. WR1 + WR1.

I'm sure rashee rice and worthys success is somehow Connor embrees fault

Bowser 01-26-2025 09:45 PM

Maurice Jones-Drew on NFL Network had the only critique that made sense - he should have cut back and scored instead of going out of bounds. But even with that said, it was really nice to see him have his best game as a pro in the AFCCG.

Can't wait to see him alongside a healthy Rice for an entire season.

Yeah, I was wondering about Hopkins. We thought he would get more touches in the playoffs. Been the opposite so far. One catch in two games. He's done here. I don't see him coming back next season.

On the other hand, Juju has seen a bigger role in the first two games.

I think his knee is extremely ****ed up. Only reason that makes sense.

Oh well, him being here clearly helped Worthy so that trade has already paid off even if he isn't directly contributing on game days.

He's old.

He's doing his job with the young guys and trying his best to spin the wheels up when he's asked. I'd love for him to make one more good catch while riding into the sunset, but it is what it is.

Hop got us some wins through the dog days of the season that helped us seal the 1 seed. He should never buy a drink in this town again.

Is MVS even on an NFL roster right now? We got all we could out of him before he fell off a cliff.

We just had a bad WR room, truly awful.

Why's MVS always catching strays?

He had a decent half year for the Saints. 4 TDs in 8 games.

Big catches against Buffalo and Baltimore for us in the playoffs last season. Big in the Cincinnati playoff game.

Rainbarrel 01-26-2025 10:30 PM

He’s obviously on the back end of his career, but his mentoring of Worthy has been invaluable.

Coleman had 3 catches for 22 yards in 3 playoff games. Worthy has 11 catches for 130 yards and a TD in 2 playoff games.

Yes, but wasn't the mantra, at least from the fans, don't take chances fighting for yards and risk fumbling the ball.

I for one wasn't that upset anytime I saw him run OOB.

I get pissed every time he does it, then I remind myself he's playing with guys twice his size.

Watching him cling to the ball fighting for possession tonight made me feel a lot better about him though. Kid wants it, and he's getting better with every game.

Rainbarrel 01-26-2025 10:52 PM

It's almost as if I was 100% right that a lot of Coleman's yards/production in the regular season came from broken plays that weren't sustainable.
