Buffalo getting more ammo to trade in front of the Broncos?

He only has 1 year left on his rookie deal and is gonna need a massive deal. |
Imagine waiting 20 years to make the playoffs your team scores 6 points then rebuilds the next year.
Btw they wouldnt have to do all this if they just drafted Mahomes. Very weird organization. |

Bills got rid of GLenn and moved up in the first round?

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Vikings have "reached out" to free agent Drew Brees.
Brees' situation is becoming more fluid. There's been almost zero belief he could actually leave New Orleans, but we are less than 48 hours from the start of free agency and there's seemingly been zero movement in talks. It makes all the sense in the world for Brees to at least feign interest in other teams as he negotiates with the Saints. It also makes sense for the Vikings, who could be trying to leverage Kirk Cousins. Related: Vikings |
Thank god we trade up for Mahomes last year. Stupid teams like the Bills passed on him and are now going to pay out the ass to get one this year.

What would it take to get him? |

That's what we paid for Mahomes. The Bills made a nice move today. |
Some dude on twitter is saying the Chiefs are going to sign Watkins for 3 years 48 million. Claims his “source” has never been wrong. Most likely total BS from some random guy but sharing in case he has a 1% chance of being right

Seems expensive no doubt. But again, it it’s 3 years that means you could be out of it after 2019 if you need to be.
Doubt it’s real. |
My source has never been wrong either. Because I just made him up out of thin air.

Antonio Brown is getting $17 million a year so unless Veach is a total moron, Watkins shouldn’t be getting $16 million. Hope we get Watkins, but at a much lower price Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
The offense has little money committed to it right now by most standards. The WR group makes peanuts. I won’t be surprised if that deal is real.
By the time Mahomes and Reek need paid, it’ll be over with. |

Bengals got better protection for ginger and can still add to the Defense in the first round. Bills in position to get Rosen or Darnold. |
Unless the contract is riddled with incentives, 3/48 Is ****ing dumb
|
I'd rather pay Robinson 16 million then Watkins. If we seriously use all of our cap on Watkins I will laugh my ass off
|
That would be a John Dorsey move.
|
Depends what the guarantee'd money is.
I bet Watkins is who they end up signing though. |
Watkins is probably a 10-12 a year guy but truthfully in this offense with Mahomes he probably puts up a stupid season that makes everyone love him.
|
Especially if he's got multiple teams bidding for him.
|
He's fishing for followers
|
Watkins would be amazing, but I honestly don't want to drop money on WR's.
That being said, maybe they know the defense isn't going to be shit for 1-2 years so they think they are going to have to win shoot outs |
They've got or can get to around 30 mil in cap space.
That's plenty to sign a big free agent and some mid tier guys |

You draft CB's, FA CB's are far to expensive to sign and wanting to blow a load on a big fat guy over a playermaker doesn't make sense to me.
Spend money on the WR, draft some defense look for a middle tier NT. |

Wow the Browns don’t have a single one of their own 1st round picks on their team from 2009-today.
That’s insane |
This team will not find a WR in this draft that makes an impact this year...you have to pick and choose. I'll take a 24 year old FA that is explosive and draft the other spots.
|

Didn't they take a safety in the first last year as well?
|
Quote:
That includes $16M in dead money that will be off the books next year. They are in good shape now and in GREAT shape starting in 2019 - so they can structure things in a way to afford to do pretty much anything they want this year. |

But, with a cheap QB they need to not waste these 4 years. They've already lost 1. |
Quote:
And I agree - the time is now. |
Yeah nfln said outside of last year. Still crazy. Imagine Mahomes being your only 1st rd pick on the team that you drafted.
1 year of first rd picks that you chose. |

Seems like the market for ILB is about $7m AVV for a good one, I'd be okay with Watkins/Robinson/Richardson as long as it leaves space for a good ILB.
I agree about the NT comments earlier, either get a vet min as your NT (like Diall) or try and get Daquon Jones to play all 3 downs. |
Quote:
|
Um, you know if you know what you are doing a starting ILB should come from a draft pick.

Might have been covered earlier, but KC is letting Gaines walk.

This team’s cap situation looking ahead is really good honestly, they aren’t going to be pinching pennies if they want Watkins that bad. |
Bet the Bills are going up to 2 with the Giants.
|
The Giants are probably going to want out of that pick when Barkley goes 1st.

I keep looking at our roster for somebody expendable who has trade value. It'd be nice to at least be able to maneuver around the 2nd/late 1st a bit.
Sadly, no such player exists on our team. |

Kelce? |
I still wonder if the Vikes would trade Danielle Hunter? He'd be a nice fit at OLB.
