I am not picking on Mizzou because they are Mizzou, I am picking on them because they have messed around last year and started this crap. They got dropped for Nebraska and now are pounding their chest because someone loves them.

I will be pissed if KU had an offer and took it. I would probably be in the minority, but would rather the big 12 stay together.

I have no problem with Texas earning more money, they make more money for the conference. The only thing at stake is tier 3 anyway and KU pulls in almost 8 million.

You have no sense of history, obviously. We're just going to start adding random teams because everybody else is doing it, and because our longtime conference members are saying "**** this" and leaving. Whatever history this conference once had is DEAD.

Further, in your confined 10 year period there have been 8 different SEC teams in the conference championship game. In the same time period there have been 6 different Big XII teams in their conference championship game, including Mizzou twice (losing both times),

SEC Conf. Champ. Game Appearances
LSU 4
Florida 3
Tennessee 3
Georgia 3
Arkansas 2
Auburn 2
Alabama 2
South Carolina

In the last 10 years the Big XII has had 2 teams who have been to 2 or more BCS games. In the same time period the SEC has had 5 teams with 2 or more BCS game appearances.

Sure, the SEC has some bottom feeders in the conference, but it's not nearly as top-heavy as the Big XII has been.

I agree with you. I'm just pointing out the fact that there aren't 6 dominant SEC schools every year. There are a few cupcakes. There are a several strong programs. And there are 3 consistently elite programs. There is no reason to think that Mizzou will be some doormat.

There is no denying Mizzou was at the forefront of this whole mess. I will concede that sooner or later there would have been problems. But, we now have all schools pledging tier 1 and tier 2 rights for 6 years, which is a year after the tv negotiation deal. There is no possible way a college is going to forfeit their tier rights to leave a conference.

Well, I guess it is what it is. Enjoy the SEC.

I am not delusional, I know KU and KSU options would have been more limited. I think the big 12 will stick around. Will it make the revenue sharing that the SEC does, no, but we won't be traveling half away across the country and we will playing teams we shared history with.

It will suck not have the big 12 tournament in KC and will obviously will leave a lot of money on the table for the KC area during that weekend.
