Will never happen but capping off the three peat with the whole 2018 group getting back together might be enough to make me cry.

I don’t even know if I could continue watching football after experiencing that level of absolute cinema. No way it could ever be topped.

It's not.

The #1 entering the season last year shoveled pick 6's and dropped everything else and currently resides on Cleveland's practice squad. The #2 from the beginning of the season is the #5 even after the injuries to #1 and #2.

Juju doesn't NEED to be a #1. A steady #3 is all.

Worthy may be a rookie, but he's got two 50 plus yard TD's in four games. He's starting to run more of a route tree. He's more advanced right now than Rice was at this point last year.

It's not worse than last year. It's just not.

That's not the same thing as saying everything is GREAT, because obviously, when you lose your best two WR's, it hurts. But this is not as bad as last year's crew early in the year.

Sorry, but it's probably worse.

We just lost a 1000+yd 7-10 TD WR, and the next best option is Justin Watson, who has never gone over 500 yds or 27 catches in a season. And we saw what happened when Andy tried to feed him more targets. Which, in case some are unaware, his catch rate dropped to 50%. And just for giggles, when we look at his numbers this season and project his season, we're looking at 250 yards and 4-5 TDs. Which is basically his average season his entire Chiefs career, excepting last season, when he managed to get to 460 yds.

Skyy Moore has been targeted twice in four games, for zero catches/zero yards.

Mecole Hardman is also 0/0 with 0 targets.

JuJu, with 2 catches in four games for 17 yds, is on pace for 17 catches and less than 200 yds, but possibly 4 TDs. Of course, he'll probably end up doing better than that, but how much better? It's been two years since his 933yd/3 TD campaign, and his knees haven't gotten any better, no? Maybe he finds a way to get half of those numbers, if his knee holds up for another 13 games.

Last season we fielded probably the worst WR room in the league. This year we have Worthy, who is definitely an upgrade over MVS, but he's a rookie, and isn't seeing more than 4 targets/game. And as a rookie, he doesn't know more than a small percentage of the playbook, doesn't know any of the situational packages like 2-minute/no huddle, etc. In short, he's about as green as it gets, in one of the most complicated, if not the most complicated offense in the league.

So, while the WR group might technically be 'better,' we're realistically looking at an incremental difference, at best. So, not the worst WR room in the NFL, but the 28th-29th-30th?

That's probably not going to cut it if Andy and Veach are serious about a threepeat. If they aren't serious about it, fine, run with what we have, save the draft capital/$$$ and let's see just what kind of amazing magic stuff Pat can pull out of his ass while dragging the 2nd/3rd/4th -worst WR room along for the ride.

I mean, I’m trying hard to bite my tongue but our best wr is a rookie in an Andy Reid offense. And 2 of the 3 of the next guys (juju, mecole) were picked up for the price of a ham sandwich because nobody else wanted them. Skyy moore is probably not going to get picked up. So we have 3 guys who are practically unrosterable on most teams. The next best options are 2 guys who cleared to practice squad.

So yeah, I know he wants to be optimistic, but that’s some sugarcoating there. We will make it work but this is probably the worst WRs corps in the nfl until we make some kind of move. Which I believe veach will.

I'm hopeful for Worthy, but he's made a few big plays and one was a completely busted coverage that left him open by 10 yds.

This WR corps is definitely weaker than the group KC took to the playoffs last season. Worthy is nowhere close to the reliable threat that Rice was down the stretch. And you can say that he will be later, but that's far from guaranteed. Also, I'd take MVS over JJSS.

Btw, if Worthy becomes your number 1 and gets a high volume of targets, the chance of an injury is fairly high because he weighs 10 lbs. Then what?

And what makes you think Smith-Schuster can be even a solid #3? He was like #5 in a terrible Patriots offense last year. Had 260 total yds. 17 yds on 4 targets this year. He's not the same player he was in 2022.
