I think we can all agree that it's best for him to actually practice during the season as the backup instead of sitting on the sideline watching.

Plus if Alex gets hurt we're screwed anyway. Maybe have Mahomes be the backup and if Alex gets hurt, sign a vet if he's not ready.

They like Bray if they didn't he wouldn't have been around for 4 years. I don't know who's out there besides Kaepernick that you would say for sure is better than Bray.

I don't ever recall Smith looking outstanding in year 1 and 2 in training camp. Even last year. He looked 'great' but compared to what we had on the bench

YOU are likely better than Bray. They've kept him around because he was created in a lab drawn up by every football coach ever. They're in love with his "potential", not what they see out of him on the field.

I fully expect Bray to be the #3 IF he even makes the team this year. And I say that as a guy that would rather see Mahomes sit and learn all year.

Kaepernick is way too inaccurate for Reid. He also runs before the pocket collapses.

It won't shock me if they go with Stave over Bray, unless Stave is somehow worse than Bray.

If so, good grief.

At that point, they should just sign Shaun Hill.
