I'm confused.
People seem to be pissed because Denver traded up to take Paxton Lynch, a guy who Dorsey did his due diligence on, but didn't seem to really want that bad.
And I keep hearing people throughout this thread and the draft thread talk about how Denver knows what they're doing with QB's, Denver knows how to draft QB's, Denver is the god of all things QB, Etc. etc. etc.
Yes, Denver signed Peyton Manning when the Colts released him. He wanted to go there. Besides the Chiefs were a shitshow at that point and had a moron operating the organization.
Now, that aside, please take some time and go over all of Denver's successful moves in the draft with regards to QB (sans Elway 1983). Drafts, trade ups, etc.
I'll wait . . . . . . .

It's not that Denver is so great at QBs or has a secret sauce there... And more that this is another example of the Broncos being willing to swing big (not just at QBs but in all things with the organization) and how that has created more success for them over the past 20 years than Kansas City.
I'm not even that "in" on Lynch. It's just another instance of Denver going big. That's why I'd bet the Broncos will win ANOTHER Super Bowl before KC does. Denver will make big, risky moves to achieve greatness. KC, under multiple GMs, has shied away from those types of moves.
You understand why Chiefs fans might be skeptical of the GM's judgment when doing due diligence on a QB prospect, right? When the judgment is basically always "not worth it" unless the guy is outside the first 3 rounds...
