I loved PRIDE. Loved the introductions at the beginning of the shows, the entrances, the team feuds and the fight formats. I personally couldn't care less if fighters are juiced to the gills either.

Pride was so much better.

I have zero interest in any sport or promotion, especially combat sports, that encourages steroids.

eh, at this point the NFL is like my 4th-favorite sport. I hardly watch the games anymore. At least you can ostensibly be suspended if you get popped for a test that I assume you knew was coming weeks in advance.

The UFC roster is now tested hundreds of times, unannounced and randomly by an independend ADA that is above question or reproach.

edit: and they never encouraged steroids or looked the other way. Champions have been stripped for steroids even in the olden days of the UFC.

God Damn, Ronda is an unlikable bitch. She lost her shit at the weigh-in for no good reason.

edit: looks like it was just an act to sell more tickets. She was smiley and happy on TV right after. If that was her goal, she started promoting a little late, shoulda started the angry act days ago.

Floor, lower level, and (most of) 2nd level is sold out. The large upper level looks about half-full. 70,000 was always going to be tough and they obviously didn't get there, it'll be interesting to see if they at least broke the 55,000 ticket attendance record or not.

I'm glad I've never experienced the joy of a liver shot before. Its purely pain, but the pain is apparently so debilitating you just go down like you were shot.
