I wonder if the Chiefs will be buyers? Vaccaro at a discount might be interesting. Injury history and PEDs suspension should damage his asking price. He could use a fresh start.

This. NT play effects the play of every other defender. Jones had a down year without competent NT play, Bailey was inconsistent at best. The edges suffer for obvious reasons, and if the rush suffers, the db's suffer.

Berry covers up a lot of messes when he's healthy, we know this. Might just be him knowing the defense and calling coverages so other players don't need to think so much, and they can just play, but whatever it is, there's no reason to think Murray isn't a better safety under Berrys leadership. Everyone else seemed to be.

Did anyone argue differently?

Sorenson sucks too. His shit play was masked to the tune of a $4M/per though.

Parker was fine year before last, went downhill quick without Berry though.

Was it all Berry? Probably not. They had better NT play and healthy edge rushers the year prior too.

I just think NT affects the defense far more than S.

Why not just tag Robinson if you were going to cut Hurns? Instead they signed Donte Moncrief for a $10M cap hit.
