That fight was over the moment Werdum decided to train at an altitude ABOVE Mexico City and Cain decided to just fly in from sea level a couple weeks out. Cain knew he was in big trouble a couple days before the fight when he wasn't adjusting quickly enough, but by then it was too late.

Cain was well-known for having a huge gas tank, but he arrogantly thought he could rely on that without preparing for that crazy elevation. Fighters were gassing out all night on that card.

We got a very nice little free fight card tonight. It would be a bad PPV, but this is fantastic for free TV. The co-main is a very good matchup.

I have some varying degree of interest in seeing 5 out of the 6 fights on the main card and 3 out of 4 fights on the prelim.

God damn, Thiago Tavares. That was a long ass, excited interview for beating someone stupid enough to jump right into a guillotine choke.

Hendo's 28-second KO in his last fight was one of the most surprising things I've ever seen in the UFC. I was prepared to see a sad night where the 45-year old legend staying in too long gets his ass beat, but then holy shit crazy knock out.

So, I have no clue. Henderson can do whatever he wants at this point until he starts looking overmatched.

Its not in the top 10 list of the worst UFC reffing mistakes ever, but it was pretty bad.

Rear naked choke, sunk in kinda deep but iffy if its deep enough. Trujillo raise his hand preparing to tap, but then paused, started fighting the hands, choke sunk in deeper, his eyes closed (in concentration, but the ref apparently thought he was out), ref moves in to stop it.

If someone is getting punched to death, I won't argue a slightly-quick trigger but if its a choke with no tap, you gotta at least grab an arm and see if its limp before you call the fight. Trujillo immediately hopped up and was pissed when the ref called it.

Im saying 50/50 right now. I think at this point in his career Hendo doesnt get out of the first against a testosterone loaded Vitor.
