Been playing Sifu lately….holy Jesus, what a game.

My GOTY so far, love it.

Saw Northernlion playing Tiny Folks, and I picked it up myself. I think fans of Darkest Dungeon, and especially those who liked the idea of DD, but found that DD was cumbersome and just a bit much, will find a lot to enjoy. It's a roguelike where you battle challenging one-shot RPG encounters (usually 3-4 battles, where you press your luck to keep going) then use your spoils to build your town up, recruit strong followers, and then head out again. People will die, and the battles can be really tough. I really dig the Gameboy aesthetic, and the price can't be beat ($4!!).

Well honestly surprised but just happened to luck out. Walking through Fred’s (the west coast version of Krogers) the other day and swung into electronics department on a whim. No PS5 on the shelf of course. But I asked the dude behind the counter if they had any. He immediately said no. And I was like, okay. Started to walk away and he said yeah there’s 1 left but it’s $550. At first I thought dude was trying to sell me one from someone he knew had one or something. Like a call this dude type of thing. But sure enough when I said yeah I’d like to buy it he went in back and came out with it. Said they got 2 of them earlier that day. So no clue how I was able to get it but everything worked out. Truthfully haven’t even opened yet, so it’s possible I got ripped off but unlikely as it’s from a box store. Maybe I should open the box though lol

If you like Risk of Rain, this is a much better looking version of it.... The AAA version if you will. Highly addictive and checks all the boxes, super insane at higher levels. The eye candy is out of this world. Yes it's biggest drawback is...it launched on Epic games store a year ago and no one has heard of it. Just released on consoles as well with cross platform play between all 3.

Hey all - I know it's older but is Crackdown 3 any fun? Anyone played it? I started it briefly but went back to Mafia 3 DLC' - I know I'm way behind, not that serious of a gamer.

Today is the last day over the Overwatch 2 Beta. IDK if anyone else still plays Overwatch.

Overwatch 2 will feature 5 man teams instead of 6, and the tanks are more dps oriented than in the OG OW.

My biggest takeaway from OW2: Everyone does a lot more damage.

I am surprised by how long it took me to try Horizon Zero Dawn. Absolutely love this game. Gonna get Forbidden West after I beat it.

I really loved overwatch.. and played an absolute ton.. even after it started going downhill

ow2 does not excite. It seems like not only a step backwards, but a crash grab that will fade as soon as it releases. Its release coincides with a bunch of other blizzard/activision moves to shore up the bottom line for the fourth quarter, using questionable timelines and promises.

Sad too, cause I originally thought overwatch would end CSGO as the #1 esport

Overwatch 2 may be better then the original due to the 5vs5 and no double tanks. I been playing a bit of it myself and im enjoying it. I wont even touch the 6v6 anymore. What i like is that its way more fast pace and the action just feels better. There is no more turtling bullshit. Its all go go go now.

Overhyped and underdelivered....Never pulled me in..but your mileage may vary.

Thats a whole different question though. Its not going to be as popular as OW1 was, because its just an updated version of the game. I just feel it's a better game with the changes and tweaks. PVE is going to be their big thing and i cant comment on that, cause i have no idea about it.

My son has it on his wishlist, gonna wait a few months until it hits a sale but it looks rather awesome. Supposedly the other Spiderman game is on it's way to PC as well, Miles Morales I believe.

I hate to tell you, but I really doubt it goes on sale any time soon. Certainly not in the next few months. No other Playstation crossover game has ever went on sale since they started doing the PS/PC crossover stuff. They spend way too much to port that to a completely different platform. A game like this is one that should be heavily supported by users if you would like to see other awesome platform-specific games come to PC. I'm a pirating mother****er don't get me wrong. I would download a car. But it's these kinds of releases that can really have an effect on the release of future projects like this if users support it.

The new Miles Morales Spider-Man game that will be released is going to be PS4/PS5 only. Financially supporting games like this remaster will increase the odds that the Miles Morales version might someday makes it to PC. Selective dev support for the cause..

I might test a game out to see if I would put time into it but won't do more than demo it. Got sucked into horizon west for a few weeks. That was an amazing game.

I got it a few days ago while it was still on sale in the PlayStation store. I plan to start on it after I finish Zero Dawn. Glad to hear Forbidden West is awesome.

I've been playing some Satisfactory lately. I like the changes they brought in Update 6. Going in the right direction. If you'd enjoy a game that is a bit of build and a bit of exploring/loot mixed with heavy math ratios to set up a factory to make more and more complicated parts, you'll like it.

Also been playing some Remnants which is similar to Rust. It's from a solo dev that's doing it as a side project, so some patience is required but he is responsive.

Not sure why, but some of those scenes where he is being chased through the streets by guards makes me think of the Disney movie Aladdin (the original one). Other than that the game looks amazing.

From the few hours I've put into Prodeus, it stands very tall amongst the "Boomer Shooters". Stunning aesthetics paired with visceral gun physics.

I played so much Quake/Doom/Duke when I was younger that I'm really tired of the FPS style games. Plus my reactions aren't what they were back then.

Age of Darkness is a cool RTS... good for a few hours enjoyment. The map is different every time, so replayability is high. You can get it on Steam for $20 (or put it on wish list and pick it up on sale)

I've heard good things about the latest Warhammer 40k RTS, but have not played it (on my wish list, waiting for sale)

The Ascent is pretty good. Not great, but has its moments. Definite RTS elements to it.

I still consider Supreme Commander 1 to be the best RTS of alltime and it still holds up today. Unfortunately not much in this genre I can recommend that's new, most rts games are from tiny studios these days and not AAA games. Also Demigod is another great one from the past, love the gameplay and voice acting in that game.

A Red Dead Redemption player with almost 6,000 hours logged on Google Stadia is begging Rockstar to allow character transfers after the news of the service's closure.

YouTuber @ItsColourTV(opens in new tab) took to Twitter shortly after the news that Google Stadia is shutting down broke out yesterday. "No, you don't understand how seriously pissed off I am," the tweet read, alongside a screenshot that shows that they've put 5,907 hours into Red Dead Redemption on Google's gaming service.

"For context: these hours are on Google Stadia and today Google announced they'll be shutting down the platform," a follow-up tweet(opens in new tab) reads, "@RockstarGames please let us do a one-time character transfer I am begging you." If you aren't aware, once Google shuts down its Stadia service on January 18, 2023, ItsColourTV's progress will all be erased from existence, meaning they'll need to start a new save file on another platform - with all 5,907 hours (approximately 246 days) going to waste.

It seems that fellow Red Dead Redemption players felt sympathetic towards ItsColourTV, with many replying to the tweet with suggestions as to how to save this player's save. One suggested(opens in new tab) that ItsColourTV use Google Takeout - a data downloading service - to transfer their file to PC, to which they replied: "I don't play story mode." Rockstar, if you're reading this, do our guy a favor and let them transfer their character just this once.

No, this isn't just an ordinary online account. This person put 6,000 hrs into a Red Dead account that was linked to Google Stadia. Which is shutting down in a matter of weeks due to a Google specific decision. Which would eliminate this user from accessing that account that they literally spent 246 days worth of time to build just because they chose Stadia which doesn't communicate player data to other platforms. Stadia limits the saves to only Stadia media which is soon to be non existent. All other platforms use shared info.
